I have been contemplating smoking some 'que this year instead of bringing cheesecake. My title is objecting, but my stomach is not...

Way to hit me with the guilt trip, Sue... I haven't made up my mind one way or the other, tho I have been leaning towards 'que. This brings me pretty much right back to the middle ground again. Decisions, decisions...

Hey all,

I will be attending ReaperCon. I am new to this community so I do not know many of you. I will be attending from Thursday to Sunday. I understand it is a small con, as cons go. I look forward to meeting, painting, and gaming with you all. I will have a vehicle and am staying at the Days Inn.

Reaper is located in a small warehousing area; very business-park, non bar-ish. However, there is a liquor store immediately in front of the BW Hotel at 35 and Swisher. There are, of course, places nearby to go have a drink, but not in the immediate proximity of Reaper.

This is pehaps why ShinerCon happens... *shrug*

I'm going smile.gif and I'm going to be camping at Pilot Knoll Park. Should be interesting and fun biggrin.gifik_birthday.gif ! I'm looking forward to it! Hopefully there aren't bears...

Are bears a problem in TX in that area? They are always an issue in CO along with the occassional Mountain Lion, especially in communities backed up against the Front Range (yes even cities as large as Boulder, Colorado Springs and Fort Collins).

Hey Leuther,

Welcome aboard. Hope you have a great time while you are here.

Only the kind with big beer bellies and jacked up pick up trucks.

But, seriously, I have noticed more Coyote sightings lately.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ::D:

Yes the liquor store in the same parking lot as Best Western is very convenient. Heck across the street is a Circle K or some kinda of convenient store as well.

While I have not lived in the DFW area in many years, I don't recall bears being a big problem. There is a zoo in Dallas, though, if you want to see some. I'm pretty sure they don't have a loan-out policy in place or anything, though, so don't get your hopes up.
