I humbly suggest a Carolina-style barbeque sauce with a hint of cilantro.

As to the mini, beautiful overall, but the eyes on the leprecaun and especially the owl give it some serious pop. Methinks a tutorial would be appropriate.

Ddot, what tut would you like to see? The eyes on the leprechaun are painted with just a few steps.

Paint the whole eye black or brown, whatever color you want to use as a liner. then paint in a white oval in that black area leaving a ring of black. The paint a black/brown circle in the white and then put just a white dot in that black circle for the reflection.

The owls eyes, paint the entire thing black. Then took a green and yellow mix--just a hint of green in there, and paint a circle, doing your best to leave a black circle in the middle. Go back, touch up the black circle until it's as circular as you can get it. Then glaze in a little bit of a darker yellow-green mix at the bottom, smooth out the blend and then white dot for reflection. I painted the eyes with reference art up. That's key. Always have reference art when painting an animal.

@Captenglish--my friend says that ninjas>pirates, everyone knows that! ::P:

That's a wonderful paintjob on a great sculpt! I love how you've painted the pinkish checks & nose, gives him a naughty look. The base is also very effective, did you use real flowers for this?

yup. If you go to your local craft store's floral section you should be able to find dried flowers.

Thanks! That's only the second time I've done that. First time was on Chronoscope Santa ::): I foresee more drunken or embarrassed characters in my painting future.

Have more to post tomorrow night too. I've been working on many projects. Should have about 6 other pieces to share with you guys.

So . . . off to painting I go! Hi ho hi ho!

Inarah, the scotch bottle was a personal reference for one of my friends.

But scotch is whiskey. The only difference is that one is made in Scotland and the other isn't. Kinda like the whole square-rectangle thing. All scotch is whiskey but not all whiskey is scotch. ::D:

So... did your friend ask you to impugn the whiskey-making prowess of the Irish, by implying that even a leprechaun would rather drink Scotch whiskey than Irish? Or should we infer that this leprechaun has already drunk all of the good Irish whiskey and wants to keep his buzz going, so he has to settle for second-rate Scotch? ::P:

In any event, lovely work!
