MamaGeek
What? You didn't want to redo the mill to fit the base? HAHAHA! Seriously, though, sorry about the oops, pal. The mill looks fantastic!
Chains
Phenominal job, so far! Awww... is it done yet? When can we see the finished product?
dargrin
What? You didn't want to redo the mill to fit the base? HAHAHA! Redoing the base will be way easier. I have done enough stone work that I know what I am doing with that. Working with bits of sticks...not so much.
dargrin
Phenominal job, so far! Awww... is it done yet? When can we see the finished product? Still not done yet. Check back here for updates. On a side note, while on a quest to find more stirrers, I found some spikes to put on top of the roof.
dargrin
So tonight I just stared at the 3 X 3 area where the flat wall is on the mill. I am trying to figure out some sort of wood design that would be against that wall. Does anyone have any ideas or links for inspiration? Thanks
MamaGeek
How about a barn star?
dargrin
I actually placed the engine in the mill this morning. All test drawings are out the window. I thought the axial was in the middle but It is actually way higher. I will need to mount the motor tonight.
MamaGeek
Holy smoke! You're motorizing this thing??? And I thought it was amazing just as a static terrain piece. Man, this thing is going to be killer!
dargrin
Yeah. I took out a nice motor out of a VCR. I will use that to power the Mill blades.
Kannan Fodder
Motorized??? Sweet! It's looking fantastic. I honestly thought it was going to be a static piece for gaming terrain. Keep up the good work. That's going to be a real treasure when you are done. ~M
dargrin
Ok After a killer week I was able to get the motor mounted last night (late) and some of the clap boards up. Baring kid and energy level preventing me, I will get these pictures posted tonight.
