Little more painting this AM. I hope to do more tonight while the kids are in bed. I am hoping that I can get the sides done tonight.

 

As always Comment and Critiques are welcome of the progress thus far.

Nice work! This is going to look great when it's done.

I have a question though. With the door and windows it kinda looks like a house. Do people live in windmills like this? I think it would be cool to live in a windmill house.

Honestly I have no idea. I do know that mills like this would often grind wheat into flower. Some where even attached to rivers or streams for more constant power. I liked the one on page one and used that for inspiration for this one.

No update this week. Taking an online course and it is harder then I thought it was going to be. I hope to get back to the mill this weekend.

My grandparents used to have a windmill to pump water up the hill to our water tank. Yup, I grew up without "city water", and we still have the elevated tank to prove it! My dad also has one on his ranch that fills the water tank there.

 

Looking good. I'm still amazed that you're motorizing it! That's going to be something to brag about.
