Tiviel, Tiefling Conversion

I converted Tiviel by adjusting her arms, breaking them and repositioning them with pins and putty, tweaked her stance a little bit by breaking her in half and twisting her torso then pins and putty work to resculpt her abdomen and back. I sculpted more volume to her hair and adjusted the "flow" of her hairstyle to bulk it out a little.

Went for red eyes with a reddish skintone, but not too red, just enough to set it off as more or less a ruddy skintone.

Wow! The conversion is great and so is the paint job. I can't see any seams or anything where she was re-sculpted; except maybe a little spot on the back, but that could be a roll.

There's a large area of shading on the back of her right arm that looks a little odd to me, but besides that, this is fantastic!

No offense to the original sculptor, but this is a great improvement to the model. You really added a lot of character to the figure. I painted it last year, but I may have to get a 2nd one now.

The original sculptor takes no offense. ::P:

I agree, excellent work with the reposing, hairstyling, and painting. I like these color choices, especially the very nice color gradients on the skin. The hair and the converted left arm seem castable -- so I'll file this away for the pose of a future figure.

My only quibble is that the conversion of the left arm/shoulder seems a little off. With the arm down, I think the upper arm should lie closer to the torso, and the muscles joining the arm to the torso would allow less of a gap in the armpit.

Nice! I love the re-pose. The red eyes are also cool. One lil critique might be that the color of her bodice is a little too similar to the color of her flesh.

Are you using green stuff? I remember you were having trouble with it last time we talked, but that was years ago.

Heya, thanks for the C&C guys, much obliged.

@ernieball22: It does look a little odd in the photo.

@Josh, Inarah, SK, thanks muchly guys, really appreciate it.

@Derek: I agree about the left arm/shoulder area. It sticks out too far by the shoulder. This figure was "skinny" enough to make repositioning really easy since nothing other than the tail was really attached to anything else. Don't see too many minis with that potential so I wanted to take advantage of that fact with this one here for sure. Thanks for C&C

@Matt: I use Magic Sculpt now. I'm allergic to it, but only if I touch the stuff, which I don't do at all. As long as I don't sand the stuff or touch it all then I'm fine with it. I took a couple years off painting from 2008 to much of 2010 just to focus on acquiring some sculpting skills to help improve my conversion ability. Thanks man.
