joshuaslater
Being a paid artist sounds like a good fit for you. On a better note, you're better for scraping that Ed Pugh off the bottom of your shoe and movin' on!!! He's a very bad influence.
fieldarchy
I dunno I think Gus is the worst influence of them all!
Dr.Bedlam
Not sure it's "unintentional," since you took the job on purpose. Then again, I can think of far worse ways to make one's money than painting miniatures. Fare ye well. I still mean to bug you about glazes at the con, though. fieldarchy
Unintentional in that I actually didn't go seeking the job. It feel into my lap and I'm certainly not going to turn it down!

Mclimbin
Wow Meg. Congrats! That is awesome for you--you get paid to practice. Beautiful. (This might make me sound like a jerk, but I mean it to be funny) I remember, a long time ago, when I was better than you. OK, it was a long, long time ago. And maybe it was only in my own mind. But still. That is where determination, practice, and more than a little talent will get you. Congrats again! Michael K
fieldarchy
Michael, you are absolutely right and no don't worry it doesn't come across as jerky at all. And that statement should show everyone that with practice and determination you can reach the level of painting you want to. I still have plenty to learn and skills to hone but once upon a time about 6 years ago everyone was better than me. I sucked something fierce. Thanks for the congrats and thank you to EVERYONE who has been such a great friend, mentor and supporter. I really do appreciate it and couldn't have done it without the help of so many. I'm very thankful for this opportunity and can't wait to begin my new adventure!

Kannan Fodder
Congrats Meg. I'm super envious as you now have what I've always considered my dream job. (Being a staff painter for a major miniatures company.) PP always makes an appearance at Comic Con International. Any chance you'll be along with the rest of the crew and make a visit to San Diego? ~M

My first day is June 1st and I'm currently working on packing up the house, finding tenants and then I'll be driving up there. I hope I get to go to Cons though. I don't see why not if Matt ends up going since I'll be his partner in crime at work
Kannan Fodder
Comic Con is July 21st to 24th, and Privateer will be there. They usually have minis, paints, brushes for sale, so would be great if they had the painters to answer questions... If you're there, I'll drop by and say hi. Also, I keep hoping that maybe Reaper will make an appearance. Used to be only about comics and memorabilia, but now is a massive pop-culture extravaganza. ~M
