MamaGeek
Major thanks are owed to Andrew Pieper (Talespinner) on the conversion. I totally wrecked her right hand, and when I asked him for help, he was very generous with his time and incredible sculpting skills. I sent him the mini in the mail, and he fixed her right up! Thank you! Thanks are also owed to Derek Schubert, who provided email advice on the freehand and color scheme. Thank you! This mini is a gaming figure for my D&D character, a bard/crusader. She is meant to look both fierce and fancy. I hope I pulled that off! I made her a custom Large base insert for when she is the subject of Enlarge Person spell. The two bases have magnets that hold them together. Thanks to Wilwarin for the magnet idea! I honestly think there are many areas for improvement, but I had other projects to get on to, and she is only a gaming figure, so in this case "better" would have been the enemy of "good enough," so she is what she is. Krztoff
That is fantastic. Not just the concept and execution of the conversion, but the completely unexpected colors for that particular figure, and eye-catching freehand. The highlighting on the leather armor is also very good and draws attention. The base(s) are really nice too, and the purple stones really tie the whole thing together with the figure.

Kannan Fodder
I'd say job well done. The bright colors and intricate freehand pattern make her pretty fancy - and are done very well. That chain flailing about makes her look pretty dangerous. Nice job on the NMM too. ~M

Moderator TaleSpinner Posted May 12, 2011 Moderator Share Posted May 12, 2011 She looks great. I wasn't too sure that I liked the mini when I saw it in the metal, but you really pulled out her best side. That cloak is amazing! You leather work on the leg guards is very smooth. Well done. Andy Oh, and you're welcome
Dr.Bedlam
All the more reason Reaper needs to start producing and selling hand sprues, with left and right hands, open and closed. That said, that cape is a thing of astonishing beauty. Are you the complete envy of your gaming group, or do you do THEIR miniatures, too?

yani
Stunning. You did amazing on the freehand work on the cape. For some reason, the chain end from her left hand seems to be angled weirdly, but everytime I inspect it, I can't find fault with the setup at all, so I'm blaming myself for that one :) She's really beautiful.

The chain angles do photograph oddly, but they look right in person. And thank you! Thank you to everybody for all your very kind words!
