Spike
I hope you get a little more off-time this year, Randy. There's nothing like overtime..even paid overtime, to kill the Christmas spirit.Last week, Steve and I both quit our jobs at Taco Bell, crossed the street (rather literally) and got hired right away to work at Bojangles (home-cookin' chicken place) JUST because we're tired of working overtime all the time.Seems that's how companies think these days though...cut 90% of your staff to part-time and save paying benefits...and if the other 10% have to pick up 10+ hours per week, the timeX1.5 is STILL less money than the benefits will cost. wildbill
I blame the whole health care thing that has been mandated from the government, Spike. You are not the first person I have heard say something to that effect. It is pretty sad. I am sorry you had to quit your job but I am happy you find work immediately! ShadowRaven
As a Canadian, I like having government health care, but not at the cost of employment and employees getting mishandled

haldir
Computer update: So other then my tablet & smart phone I have a netbook that bought mostly as a travel computer (this was before the tablet & phone of course). I seen it had a HDMI slot, so went looking for an adapter on Amazon, since locally they want like 30 to 50 bucks for one (uhhh no). Ended up finding one for 7 bucks on Amazon. Just have been lazy in using some credit I have with them. Well anyways, got the order yesterday along with some other goodies. Got the cable hooked up this afternoon & while it's not the most perfect solution I have my old setup of a gaming keyboard, left-handed mouse & a big moniter again. Hopefully it helps in the posts as I have a spot again upstairs just for computing again!!! (thou if the taxes get back this month, might be a moot point, ha ha) RM
Spike
I don't think I have ever seen a left-handed mouse before...and I've not seen one that was exclusively right-handed in a long time. Most seem to be left-or-right nowadaysI know what you mean about "mad-money" though. These days I'm torn between upgrading my camera or getting a new desktop computer with a processor badass enough to handle HD video editing software without freezing up or melting down. haldir
While most mice are ambidextrous, some gaming mice have features that are made for mostly the right hand. Mainly thumb buttons, but some mmorpg mice have a "panel" of button that really are useful if your a righty. While my mouse is kinda old at least in tech/trends it is pretty much the left-handed version of one of Razor's most popular mice (DeathAdder 3.5). Now I can use my right hand when I use a mouse, just feels better with the left. Granted, I do lose out on the WASD keys if I play games that use those keys but since I rarely play online games these days besides a couple on my tablet, eh no worries. haldir
Should get a post up later today. Also I totally spaced off something that should have occurred before ShadowRaven ' character meeting up with Elmo. It involves a large clang of metal. Also quick update on the computer. Going with a laptop, a Chrome at that too. I've come to realize most of what I do on a PCS these days is suitable for a Chrome computer. The one I'm getting is from HP & has 4g access for life as a perk + about 40 buck in rebates & such. Should have it middle to the end of the month. Inarah
OK, can we move past the part where we hand off poor what's-his-name to the minions, and skip back to the dungeoncrawl?
haldir
I can do that. Help jumpstart the adventure again. I've been headfirst into my Rcon prep the last few weeks (must paint!) & my online games have suffered a bit. Kinda of regretting running 5 games this year...... I'll have a push post up tomorrow of everyone wants to go that way.
Spike
Works for me.....even though we all know how much Chara loves keeping sharp with her thees and thous and beseeching around a bunch of stuffy clerics ............ no offence to the healers, of course...but you know the kind of thing she means....right?
ShadowRaven
indeed. Not to worry, you shall find that this particular cleric will wonder what is wrong with your head if you keep using thees and thous and beseeching and such.
