Isha suggests that the group escort these poor souls out of the darkness and into some clean air and sunshine. She suggests Shad or Tiron go on ahead up the stairs as a scout, and starts to steer one of the former prisoners toward the exit.

If they make it safely to the courtyard... Isha will donate her horse for one of the prisoners to borrow for the ride back to the village, after removing her few personal items. She will coax the bag of copper coins away from the cleric and offer it to the rescued men. "Take this, and buy for yourself a room and a bath, and also the clothing and food." She speaks with the hirelings who are going back to the village, making sure they know the way and will see the men safely to the inn, and then return to the moathouse.

The party makes it easily back up the stairs, Elmo offering to stay behind to watch the rooms just in case the cultists or anyone else decides to check on the ogre. He stays in the secret room with the door cracked barely enough for him to see inside.

The men & the gnome take whatever is given to them. Cory suggests they take the horses the Golden's party came on.

"That way we won't need to feed so many mounts.."

Outside the inn on the dryland, the men mount up, before they go, Lavin says "To repay your kindness, we will send back a reward when we get back to Dyvers. We will send it to the Inn of the Welcome Wench. We know the owner is a good man & will see that you get it."

The gnome pulls off a battered plain metal ring from his finger & gives it Tiron.

"Show this in the Iron Hills when your are among my people, its a sign of friendship & you will be treated like one."

With that, the trio follow the trail that leads back to the road & disappear off into the distance. You make your way back into the dungeon with no troubles to find Elmo guarding the doorway, he has pulled out a piece of jerky & is gnawing on that.

"No activity to report, just like we left it." he says.

As noted before, it's a pantry with very little usable foodstuff. There is a wooden door on the Southern wall.

"If it has been quiet," Isha says, "then perhaps Chara and I will explore this room first." She looks hopefully over at Chara who is absently investigating a barrel full of musty grain. "Unless some one has good reason for not opening door. "

"Huh?". Chara ceases her fond recollection of a story she once heard about dwarves escaping an elven stronghold by nailing themselves into empty wine casks. She never got to find out how the story ended, but often thought how much fun it would be to stuff Golden into a barrel and push him down a steep hillside.

"Yeah. Good plan."

Chara pokes and prods around the pantry shelves going top-shelf-first and left-to-right very methodically as she was taught by her former employers. It wasn't her preferred style, but was far more likely to turn up good loot. Mostly she is looking for hidey-holes in the walls behind the foodstuffs. She also makes a point to poke or shake the various containers to see if they too might have things more interesting than dried grain stashed within. If the pickled herring is indeed pickled herring and appears edible, she'll have a sample or two.

She will search and/or sample pickled herring until somebody with a different plan tells her otherwise.

(sorry didn't see that you guys wanted to advance).

The door opens easily without any sound. The room beyond is quite large.

To the south is a corridor with 5 doors on the west side. On the east side of this corridor there is a opening in the wall that leads to anther room.

To the west of the large room are 2 wooden doors.

The room itself is a storage & armory area, you can see various debris like torn sacks, broken barrels & shattered weapon racks throughout the room. There is no apparent treasure.

Isha will go in first, moving south along the wall until she gets to the first pillar where the corridor starts. She will have a casual look around and a listen, then start moving west along the wall to the corner opposite the door she came in. She suggests that Chara go "that way" counter clockwise around the room.

Chara does what Isha asks her to do..edging quietly along the northern wall toward the western corner mostly looking for arrow slits or peek-holes, herself not being a complete stranger to dungeon ambushes. "Think they'd least try to keep this place up. I sure would." She continues along trying not to let her new interesting thoughts distract her from searching.

If nothing turns up before she reaches the northernmost door on the western wall, she will stop there and have a listen as well as a sniff.

Tiron graciously accepts the gift from the gnome and wishes him and his companions safe journey back to town before rejoining the others and proceeding back into the moathouse and back down into the dungeon. He follows along silently with sword drawn as the others proceed into the new area paying attention to the rear in case something creeps up from behind.
