haldir
Shad the bugbear leaves itself open & you thrust your blade to strike but somehow the creature avoids the blade, all the while grinning a toothy smile at you! BUGBEARS! (5) #1 DEAD! #2 The creature not wanting to face the wrath of his commander, continues to fight on. He swings his club at Isha, wanting no part of Cory right now. He slips in some blood & skillfully misses her! #3 The Bugbear continues the fight with Bodyguard! He badly misses #4 The bugbear returns melee with Shad! He equals Shad's efforts with a pitiful display of his own! MISS! #5 He swings his short sword at Chara again! He smacks the half-orc with a deadly slash for 7 pts!! Inarah
Isha tries again to *subdue* the creature with her staff. d20=11, d4=1+
wildbill
I guess Shad, Bugbear #5 and Bugbear Leader are playing their version of the 3 Stooges. LOL! Shad is carrying a torch and his short sword (I think) and so he will once again strike at Bugbear #5 while holding the torch in a defensive posture against the Leader. It is a vain attempt to keep from being hit. My d20 roll is an 11, +1 bonus = 12. My damage roll is once again a 6. I can't hit for sh!t, but man, when I do, I can kill the snot out of it. haldir
Chara You move to help your friend, but as you swing, you step on a rock that causes your swing to go wild! Bodyguard He swings but the bugbear nimbly avoids the attack!! Tiron You attack the bugbear & hit!! The attack thou isn't too spectacular thou, as you nick the creatures hand with your blade for 1 pt of damage! Isha You swing your staff but the bugbear deflects the weapon with ease! Shad You press the attack on the #5 but he parries the attack with his weapon. After a few seconds he presses the weapon away, successfully defending. Cory The cleric presses the attack on the one he has been hitting. He once again strikes the creature!! The mace strikes the temple of the bugbear, dropping it to the floor, dead!! BUGBEARS! #3 He swings at the hireling! He misses badly! #4 The bugbear continues the attack on Shad! The creature almost trips over his own feet as he tries to swing his club...... #5 The creature swings at Chara, trying to finish the half-orc off! He misses barely as the blade scrapes her armor. Leader The creature sees Shad is no threat & focuses on Bodyguard instead. He completely misses...... END ROUND #3 BEGIN ROUND #4 Initiative
wildbill
Leader The creature sees Shad is no threat & focuses on Bodyguard instead. He completely misses...... Oh really? Shad shoves his torch into Leader's fur, hoping it will catch on fire. Not a threat. Shad will show that Leader who's not a threat. d20 roll = 13. I don't know what to roll for "damage". At the same time, Shad and #5 continue their Three Stooges routine. Shad will swing his short sword at #5 (yes, while setting the Leader on fire at the same time. Shad is that awesome. ). d20 = 7 + 1 = 8 Son of a... d6 = 3. Wild Bill
styates
Shaking his head in frustration at the nick that his last attack produced, Tiron once again thrusts his blade at the hairy beast in front of him. Spike
(Sorry I thought I had posted a few days ago. haldir
(EXTREMELY SORRY FOR THE DELAY ON THIS!! Hopefully we can get back to a regular posting schedule. I'm still here!!) Shad You almost surprise the bugbear leader with the torch, but at the last moment he ducks back to evade the flames. You can smell a bit of charred fur thou...... The attack with the torch must have taken your attention away from swinging as the blade barely even find it's mark as you swing it at the other bugbear.. The bugbear only smiles afterwards....... Tiron You drive the sword into the bugbear for 6 pts!! Killing the beast where he stands! Isha You smack the bubear with a mighty WHACK!! of you staff. Causing 6 pts (nat. roll of 20 is double damage) to #4 Bugbear! He is still kickin. Chara With Tiron's successful defeat, you can attack the one that is attacking Bodyguard instead. It missed regardless thou............. Bodyguard The fighter is surprised by you sudden help that it throws off his swing & does a baseball WHIFF! instead. Cory Seeing that Chara is injured from the nasty slash she took, he grabs his holy symbol & give a prayer to St. Cuthbert & touches Chara on the shoulder from behind. The spell heals the half-orc for 5 pts of damage! Bugbears The leader has had about enough of this fight & grips his morning star & takes a mighty swing at Shad! Once again thou, the ranger ducks the swing! #3 Swings his short sword at Bodyguard, hoping to take down the fighter. He hits, doing 5 pts of damage! #4 The bugbear focuses now on Isha as she seems to be more of a threat then the ranger..... He swings his club at the monk. The attack is no different thou, as the bubear records a WHIFF! instead. END ROUND #4. BEGIN ROUND #5 Bugbear Initiative:
styates
Smiling grimly at his kill, Tiron spits on the corpse and states, "Lasta lalaithamin." He then hastens to assist Shad with the burly bugbear that is giving him so much trouble. Trying to take advantage of the missed swing that has the bugbear so agitated, he attempts to thrust his sword in during the beasts backswing. Inarah
Isha continues to try and subdue the bugbear without killing it. She feels the easiest way is yell at it "give up now!" d20=1 d'oh!
wildbill
Shad has had just about enough of the pleasantries that he has exchanged with the Bugbear Leader. Shad is going to try a two pronged attack against the leader: shove the torch into his face while stabbing him in the gut with the short sword. Take that, evil doer!! Since I am at work, I don't have access to dice. When I get home tonight, I will roll up what happened with the two different attacks and post them. Hopefully I quit playing Three Stooges with this guy!!
