haldir
With torchlight now illuminating the room that the party fought the bugbears in & having a chance to look around the room, it looks kinda like a "E". There are 3 doors to the east or in the ends of the "E". The party came in through the western side across from the middle door. What do you do next? Spike
Chara stares at the doors as if seeking divine guidance, though most who know her know better of her. She mumbles something about a dungeon from her past predating her joining this party, followed by something rude about the dungeon's architect and whether either or both of his parents were trolls.OOC are all three doors similar? Chara is looking for either signs of recent or more frequent use (lack of spider webs or rust on hardware) or she is looking for signs of any sort left behind by previous dungeon looters (such as marks left from attempts to batter down the doors or good old "trail signs" indicating bad stuff on the other side)She turns to Body Guard and heaves a long sigh. "We been down in this dark too long. Getting so I miss daylight even if I gotta look at you in it." Edited October 4, 2013 by Spike
styates
Tiron, finished with his short vigil at the former cleric's side, moves alongside Chara and observes the doorways, looking for any signs of traps. 77 on D100
wildbill
Shad says "I think we ought to go about this systematically. Let's just start at the far end and take our time checking that door out before opening. For all we know all 3 doors open up into the same room/hallway on the other side." Once someone with better trap detecting skills than Shad checks things out, Shad is willing to open the door and go through first. Danger is his middle name. Shad Danger Oh. That has a nice ring to it, don't you think?
Spike
...For all we know all 3 doors open up into the same room/hallway on the other side." "Probbly do." Chara replies. "Don't make no sense at all...just like all the dead-end tunnels and rooms fulla goblins. If I ever get my own dungeon, wouldn't be no...." She stops her rambling without even waiting for one of the others to tell her to. The subject of 'her own dungeon' had become quite a sore topic with her previous cohorts, even though she herself believed it would be the best lair ever, and perhaps someday even become the stuff of legends. "I'm ready if yous all are."
Inarah
While the others debate, Isha looks at each of the doors in turn, hoping for some sign or clue. d20=
haldir
All three doors are normal in appearance. Each is a wooden door with iron hings & a pull ring. The state of use on each door is around the same thou the middle door appears to the least used of the 3, as there isn't a opening arc in front of it. There appears to be no traps on any of the doors.
wildbill
Shad steadies himself, and using his torch hand to pull open the far door, he pulls it open as slowly and as quietly as he can. His sword is at the ready in case something tries to jump through from the other side!
Spike
Chara readies her sword as Shad begins to open the door.
haldir
Just to be clear, which door is it again? Here is the current map of the room. (Bugbear hidee hole is the diamond shaped room. Passage to the west leads back to Elmo & the rest of the dungeon.) http://i448.photobucket.com/albums/qq206/haldir17/Temple%20of%20Elemental%20Evil/Dungeon000_zpsb4dac73a.png Doors aren't labeled but for identification purposes, #1 2 3 downward.
