wildbill
Shad will stand guard just in case any other random monsters decide to try and attack while we take care of the dead and wounded.

haldir
The party gathers up Cory's boy & make their way back to Elmo. Upon seeing the large man, he is now accompanied by anther person. The man appears to be elven, but as party gets closer, you see he is half-elven. "ENTER Shadowraven!!!" "Oh no! I should have come." Elmo says with a sad tone to his voice. Shadowraven (the following happens while the party is fighting the bugbears) You appeared in Hommlet this morning. Your first stop was to the church. You were relived to see it was a house to St Cuthbert. Upon entering you were greeted by a cleric, but not the high priest. You were told that she left for a neighboring town, Nulb a few weeks ago. While the cleric isn't worried, he is a bit troubled that she hasn't come back or at least sent word that she is safe. Nulb, while not a evil town, does have a bad rep amongst Hommlet residents. The cleric also said a cleric of St. Cuthbert & his fellow adventurers bought a few things from the church a few days ago. He said they were going to the old moathouse to investigate bandit rumors. Deciding that best to try & catch up with the cleric & his party, you make your way to the moathouse. Upon arriving to the moathouse you find the corpses of giant frogs near the drawbridge. Drawing you weapon, you make you way across the ruin drawbridge. As you poke your head into the courtyard, you see a man with a spear walking around tied up horses & a makeshift camp. You make your prescense known & you find the man friendly. He says he is a tailor in Hommlet but right now he is helping a band of adventures that have went into the moathouse. You make your way into the ruins, upon entering you find the place in ruins. You see bodies near a door towards the back of the room. Looking at their attire, you see they appears to be ruffians or possibly the bandit the party went looking for. You enter the doorway into a room made out of black rock, more corpses lie on the floor. You see a entrance with stairs going down. You carefully make your way down into the darkness, letting your infravision guide your way. As make your way down a spiral staircase, the combination of musty, underground & death hit you all at once. Gripping your weapon more, you make you way to a small door which appears to be once a secret door. Peeking in, you see a room that was a torture chamber. The torturer, a large ogre lays dead in the middle of the floor. You quickly leave the room & enter a large room, nothing of importance is in this room, thou you do see very cold corpses in the southern part of the room. Your sure these were undead of some sorts. You make your way back to the entrance & see anther secret door on the other side of the small room. You make your way through this one & down a small passage where torchlight suddenly blinds you briefly. "Who are you!" says a voice in Common, a rather large man with a stubbly beard & a large nose holding a sword & a shield with the coat of arms for the Baron of Verbonnac (a large town to the north) stand in front of you.
ShadowRaven
"Jaden Krey, Priest of St. Cuthbert. Looking for one of the faithful that I was told came this way" Came the answer, Shield at the ready, though he kept his hammer lowered so as to not show hostile intent. Guessing that this man was a part of the adventuring company, and likely they were responsible for the slaughter, but not quite willing to let his guard down just yet. wildbill
I am not trying to be difficult, but Haldir, you stated in your post that we go to see Elmo and meet Shadowraven. Then you immediately change the story by him actually going past Elmo and into the dungeon to meet us. Those are very different story lines that could have very different outcomes. Shad is not going to do anything until I better understand what is happening!
styates
OOC Elmo is in the Dungeon, Not Sam is with the horses.
wildbill
Ahhh...well, since it took so long to get to this point...it's all Haldir's fault. Shad will stay back, just in case Elmo was enchanted by the "friendly" newcomer.
Inarah
A half-orc female wearing armor and brandishing a broom comes into view. Behind her a human female in a strange wrapped garment, and a male elf -- carrying something large between them -- come into view. They set the burden on the floor and the female steps forward. "You look like priest," she says. "What is your want with him?"
styates
Tiron sets his end of the body down with considerable effort to be gentle. He decides to let Isha make introductions as he prepares himself for more battle. Edited January 28, 2014 by styates
Spike
Chara lets Isha do the talking, all the while keeping an eye on the newcomer for anything suspicious or should he make any sudden moves with that huge hammer of his.
ShadowRaven
"I was told at the church that he was taking a group of adventurers this way to deal with rumours of bandit troubles. As I was passing this way, it seemed only proper to lend a hand with the matter before I moved on." He paused then for a moment to let his eyes look around the group, and more importantly at the burden being carried, the head of his warhammer slowly dropping towards the floor as he relaxed it's weight. "I see the rumours were true, but I also get the feeling I learned of them too late"
haldir
"Aye, I see the symbol of St. Cuthbert." the large mans says. He lowers his weapon but keep his shield up. "My name is Elmo. I'm a agent of the Viscount of Verbonanc." He is about to say something else but a group of people appear from the eastern corridor............ styates
"Yes, unfortunately, your brother in faith has not fared well in this quest," the half-elf who had been carrying the body says grimly. "He was a good man, for the short time that I knew him and he will be missed. I am Tironian Isiliyatinu. You can shorten that to Tiron. This man gave me a chance that many others have not and if you are a brother of his, then I will gladly serve alongside you as I did him." ShadowRaven
"I see" A soft sigh escaped his lips as he looked at the body. Stepping forward he knelt and offered a silent benediction to the corpse. before rising. "Then it falls upon me to take up the burden he lay down. I trust that justice was delivered to the ones who laid him low?"
Inarah
A thin, brown skinned girl steps forward, wearing only robes and holding a staff. "The creatures are dead." Isha says. "We were to be taking him above, so that his body may go to his temple."
