Temple of Elemental Evil

"If the Temple was at the root of Nulb's corruption then, and it is a foul place still, perhaps the source of such woe still lies in the heart of the Temple."

"If you would have me, I would join you if you plan to plumb those depths again. I should like the chance to burn away the dark taint of Chaos with the true light of Law."

"I survived the Scourging of Nulb only by hiding," Tiron continues grimly. "Even though I was only a slave, I knew that the forces of good may not hesitate to kill me. When I emerged from the rubble, I was glad to see that terrible place in ruin and left it and my memories behind me as I left. There are rumors however of a new evil as the cleric mentioned and I am more than willing to join him if his will is to 'burn away the taint.' That place is but a taint on this entire world." He spits on the ground as if to clear a foul taste from his mouth.

Momentarily taken aback by the bold words coming from her companion, Isha is silent. Then she suggests "We should be returning to the village for a night's rest and thinking before there is to be burning of other places.  Then we are to be telling of the ruins we have found."

"Never been to Nulb..but heard of it.", Chara adds. "I heard if you don't care how you get it there's plenty gold to be made. I done some bad jobs before, but I never want the kind of work I been told about in Nulb."    Chara contemplates for a moment the amount of lucrative evildoing that must surely be happening in Nulb right at that very moment.  She thinks also about  how quick some high-churchish type people are to want to rid the world of things that are 'tainted'..including blood-money, perfectly good arms and armour and ill-begat-but-perfectly-useful half-orcs.  "We gonna clean out the place before we burn it down..right?"

"Of course. Besides, although physical fire can burn away the taint of evil, it may be impractical with us deep in a hole. I was speaking more allegor... Metaphys... Metaphori.. Umm.. What's the word I'm looking for... Symbolically?"

His spirits raised by having a fellow compatriot in his plans to scour the evil of Nulb from the world, Tiron has taken quite a liking to the new addition on the way back to town.

"Funny," he replies, "I've spent so much time avoiding the authorities in this place, that I really have no idea where the jail is located."

Elmo says

The only dungeons in town are at the tower of Rufus & Burne. I can lead them there. Go ahead to the church. A bunch of ruffians that are shackled & await justice can wait, while a dead companion can't. Afterwards refresh yourselves at the Inn, I will be along when I can."

"Need help hauling them in?", Chara asks Elmo, gesturing toward the train of prisoners. "People like me don't belong in no church."

If Elmo agrees to it, Chara will come with him. Otherwise, she will put aside her heathen prejudices and follow the others to the church or wherever they end up going.

"St. Cuthbert's church is open to all" He said with a warm smile towards Chara, a bit of his faith showing through "but one should only go where they feel comfortable and welcome, and it would be a poor priest who would pressure someone to something against their will in such as that"

"Sure why not. It'll be boring trip." Elmo says to Chara.

Chara & Elmo lead the would-be bandits up to the tower where they are greeted by a servant & eventually Rufus. The prisoners are led to the dungeons in the bowels of the tower.

The rest of the party heads to the church?
