Isha follows the others to the church, and grants a nod of respect to the resident priest.  She lets the others attend to the details of the rites and rituals to come, as she idly looks around at the inside of the church.  She scratches under her robe, wondering if this is the sort of church that maintains hot baths for the supplicants.

The cleric at the church answers the knock on the door & with a grim face he brings the party into main chamber. Afterwards he has the party bring Cory's body into a room reserved for funerals.

"Thank you for bring back your fallen comrade. He was son of the Saint." the cleric says as he stands over the body.

He says a prayer, one reserved for followers of St Cuthbert & also prayers for the dead.  Finally he finishes with last rites.

"I will prepare the grave. Jaden if you could help me it will go allot faster."

The grave is dug & Cory's body is lowered into it. Anther prayer is said to make sure Cory's soul travels to the high Temple of St Cuthbert.

Isha

There are no baths in this church, thou you can request a small tub & hot water at the inn for a small fee. 5 cp

After the church, the party can return to the inn or do whatever. It's probably around 10 pm or so.

Chara is unusually silent after visiting the keep and dungeon of Rufus and Burne.  After meeting the two, she finds she has many awkward questions in her head to ask once leaving the renowned duo's lair, but Elmo seems not to be very likely to know the answers. She walks silently on back to the inn hoping to find her friends or perhaps even Body Guard...and if neither are there she is sure she will at least find something to drink that did not recently have fish or frogs swimming in it.

OOC If nobody else is there yet, Chara will pick out a spot to wait for them. She will have a drink or two, but not too much to impair her ability to "keep watch" on the entrance(s) to the inn's common room and all the comings and goings.

Chara, you & Elmo are the first to reach the inn. The events at the church take a couple hours after you've arrived. The party returns to the inn to see the half-orc, Bodyguard & Elmo sitting at a table near the door. The inn is busy but mostly with townsfolk who have come for a bite to eat or to take in drinks. Not-Sam has return to his home. He did say to come see him before the party returns to the Moathouse.

After Isha returns, Elmo says

"I'm afraid my trip to Verbobonc is long & I must start early tomorrow morning. Return to the moathouse & continue to explore the rest of the dungeon. Who knows what might still be in there. Also when you return, be on your guard as whatever might be there may be waiting for your return. I will report to Viscount Langard & see what his course of actions are recommended. Hopefully he will see things quickly & I shall return soon."

With that the big man, take the last swig of the drink he had & stays good-night. He leaves the inn.

(Feel free to RP it, but nothing eventful happens afterwards.)

In spite of her plans, Chara is on her third slow cup of rye when the rest of the party arrives. She had been trying to perfect the art of cheating at Twup by playing for dried beans with Body Guard...but it was not going so well and she was running out of beans. Elmo seems willing to watch Chara lose all her beans and keep the secret from Body Guard that he now works for the world's worst cheater.

When Tiron and the others finally get there, Chara greets them with a somewhat drunken and frustrated "Well....?  What's the plan?"

It was a tired, and slightly melancholy priest  that entered the Inn, as opposed to the normally bright eyed warrior. Though he still wore the warhammer in it's metal ring on his belt, gone where the chain armour and helm, though it was easy enough to guess they where stored in the bag slung over his shoulder. Even his coppery hair seemed to have lost it's sparkle. Grabbing a mug of cold cider from the barkeep he made his way over to the others and sat, without so much as a 'by your leave'

"your friends soul is at rest now. If any of you have something to have marked upon his grave marker, let me, or the church priest know, otherwise his name and a cross of St. Cuthbert will be all"
