Spike
While everybody else is occupied with the lizard and the room's contents, Chara stands watch. She hopes the lizard is not being carved up for dinner.
haldir
The lizard As the party fights the lizard, part of the roof comes down causing 2 pts to every member. Once the lizard is dead the roof continues to fall, but nothing threatens the party. You drag the lizard out of the room. Gutting it, your blade clangs onto something metal, opening up the lizard you find a very bloody but intact small metal shield. On the face of the shield is a black falcon. The chest. It's old & the lock appears to be broken, it's hanging on the hoop. It's more of a footlocker then a actual chest. As you examine the chest, the roof falls again, but it falls in a unoccupied corner. The fight with the lizard appears to have caused the room to become unstable. Grabbing the chest & heading out of the room is the only safe way to examine the contents inside. Chara As the fight goes on you keep a eye on things & nothing shows up. It's like you & your friends are the only ones there.
ShadowRaven
"well now, isn't this interesting. I wonder if someone was holding this when it was eaten? If so it doesn't look as though anything else survived, but I can't think of any other reason why a lizard would chew on something like this...any of you recognize the device?" styates
Afraid that the roof could collapse on him at any moment, Tiron attempts to drag the chest with him and get out as quickly as possible.
haldir
The black falcon on the shield, doesn't look like any part of a device of anyone in the area like cities or groups. It's definitely not part of Burne's Badgers (Rufus & Burne's group). It may have just been a personal device. Tiron You manage to get the chest & yourself out of the room before anymore of the roof collapses in. It's heavy & as you move it there is a sound of metal ringing inside. styates
Collapsing on the ground next to the heavy chest, Tiron decides to let someone else have the honors of opening it.
Inarah
Isha dusts herself off, certain there will be bruises. "I do not know this symbol," she says of the shield. "Perhaps the owner is gone back underneath?"
haldir
Who wants to open the chest? The lock is broken & is hanging on the loop.
Darcstaar
If no one else is so inclined, Wigmund will volunteer to open the chest!
styates
The exhausted half-elf rolls his head to the side to better see what Wigmund discovers. Edited March 6, 2015 by styates
haldir
Inside the time-worn chest is a older style scale-mail tunic fitted for a human size character. A worn leather pouch containing 33 CPs. Also there is a light crossbow, and a case of 24 quarrels. The chest appears to be owned by a soldier that was in service at the moathouse, many years ago. Does the party look at the stairs I mentioned previously or move on?
Inarah
Isha will look at the stairs. She has little interest in the armor.
ShadowRaven
"Decent enough armour" He said with a nod, looking around at his companions to see who might best make use of it
Darcstaar
"Well, Jaden (or Chara) if you can use it, put it to good use. The owner of this foot-locker is either long gone or long dead," says Wigmund.
Spike
Chara looks at the armour for a bit, contemplating whether she would fit in it..or even have as much need of it as others. "Too small in the arms for me." and leaves off to go see what Isha has found...hoping she does not find trouble instead.
