Warwick
Tactics. Strategy. Bah, there are times we need not these things! Have you played a Warlord game where you deliberately did the wrong thing? Just to see what might happen. Or to set off a trap before it was ready. Or because you made an early mistake and only pure crazy could win the day. I have. And I've won the day, too. I love those battles. My vampires vs Crusader kitted out to kill vampires, and in a tournament. There was some trash talk and it got on my nerves, so I decided to rush in a line to meet his "superior" force, including his massive hero on horseback who could take out Judas. But didn't. Both armies hit in a line, we just lined them up and started fighting. And when the dust settled, my vampires held the field. It wasn't suppose to work that way, but the Warlord gods approved of my action.
Bumble_B
LOL good stuff. I feel ya completely. I haven't had the pleasure of doing this for Warlord but I do this in many other games. Usually it happens to be in some team battle so my "team" gets pretty annoyed, but eh. Sometimes having fun means doing the insane. Everyone else can keep their strategy and massive teamwork. I'll be the guy heading in the other direction trying to solo an entire horde of zombies with a baseball bat and a welders mask. BRING IT! Qwyksilver
jdripley and I had a throw down awhile ago where I was fielding the Hill Giant and he had the Stone Spirit. We just couldn't let those two boys be on the field without a head to head throw down. So we agreed that no other model would attack those beasts until they had their Rock Em Sock Em Robot battle in the center of the table. The Hill Giant won because he had initiative. But it was close. I was tempted to be a goblin and just start killing the Stone Spirit once it was wounded, instead of risking the Hill Giant to that whole honor crap. Warwick
Excellent. We've done Stone Spirit vs Grave Horror a few times. Other models clear out when the big guys start to play.
jdripley
That was a fun battle. It was sad to see my Stone Spirit crumble. It was even more sad knowing that I still had to face the Hill Giant AND Varaug w/Bonesplitter. And the totem bonus. Many dwarven corpses that day.... many dwarven corpses. I think I may have cheezeballed him on scenario for the win or something lame like that
