wenanty
Hi. I'm totally new to Warlord (greetings from Poland, it's my first post), so please, don't take me hard :) Damage Reduction text states "(...) taken on each Troop Activation". Is it means "this troop activation" or "any troop activation"? (in my situation - are Spikeshell Warriors good or superb?) BTW, how many Shadow Legionnaires are in army pack 06215? There is no info on shop page. And what kind of cases you use to transport your armies?

Look at the example text under the SA description it answers it fully. 06215 will probably have between 7-9 figures in it. I carry my stuff in Sabol Pluck Foam. Because you are in Europe Feldherr might be a good option for you.
Castlebuilder
Damage Reduction "starts over" with each troop activation. As for Spikeshells, from my experience they are hit or miss. If your opponent gangs up on individuals, they go away pretty fast. One on one against typical grunts, they can drive your opponent crazy as he tries to roll two hits in one turn to kill them. Shakandara
Tim has hit it right on the head when it comes to the effectiveness of Spikeshells. If you can man-up them, one-on-one, against standard 2 DT, #MA 2 soldier models, they are very effective. They can hold off soldiers 5-10 points their superior when used properly. I use them to delay and tie up parts of my opponent's army, while I overload them elsewhere (with the points differential the Spikeshells have provided). By the time my opponent is done dealing with the turtles, I've generally got more points left on the board than them, and that makes it easier to start mopping them up. ~v
ViciousPanzer
Another benefit of spikeshell's DR (and relative cheap cost) is that you have no fear from fireball, poison, chain lightning, or any other AoE for the most part when they are massed together. They shrug it off and keep trucking. Unless your opponent drops 2 effects on you. Then you are boned. . or shelled? It ain't good either way.
