GreyHorde
Not a contest entry or anything in particular, just practicing some different techniques and painting for the fun of it. Just one pic so far because there's othing really to see on the back, yet. More details are on my blog (also something new for me), and questions, comments and suggestions are always welcome. neuroticGOD
The shine on the sword and the shield design are quite good thus far. The skin tone looks top notch to me.
Thaelynne
She's looking good so far! Nice job on the NMM on the sword... <wink>
GreyHorde
Thanks! A little progress last weekend, a little more tonight, and here we are so far. Again, these are just benchtop snapshots, nothing special. Cleaned up the skin a bit, fixed a few things with the shield, put a basecoat and a few minor shadows & first highlights on the hair. The metal armor and the sword are finished. Yes, I know the back of the sword blade is crooked and the blends aren't as smooth as the front. The blade was cast that way and while I tried to correct it a little in painting, there is only so much I can do without stripping it and risking everything with a Dremel, trying to straighten it. The sword also has 4 sides, sort of a rectangular cross-section. Oh, well, it's not a contest piece, so I'll have to live with it.
Ferox
Nice looking hair so far. Between that, the skin, and the sword, I'm impressed with how she's turning out.
Anastrianna
Nice work, she's looking good! I think the sword looks good! Sure the back is crooked but I agree with you, I wouldn't strip it at this point.
