gwangi32
I love seeing things in movies that I recognize or have at home. Miniatures in "13 Ghosts" for example. Haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere and then with the Innistrad Prerelease all about scary I was wondering if anyone else caught the Magic the Gathering posters in Charlie's Room in "Fright Night" (the new one). And because TV shows are getting cheap and I picked up some for background noise while I work I noted the planet Ral Partheia in the Andromeda Episode "The Fair Unknown". haldir
I remember when I first seen E.T back in the theater many years ago, the scene where they are playing D&D was pretty cool & pretty much correct for that time period. It was also nice to see that it wasn't accompanied by devil-worshiping & other occult stuff that seemed to "always" be linked to it. Wasn't there a episode of Big Bang Theory with either rpging or minis?
gwangi32
I don't know if there was an episode on Big Bang but I did catch an episode of Community where they played AD&D and I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Way back when I watched Cartoon Network with my son there was an episode of Dexter's Lab with a game of D&D as well, which hooked my on the cartoon. Dr.Bedlam
Still remember the episode of Big Bang where they played Talisman (3rd edition, Fantasy Flight) in Leonard and Sheldon's living room. Led to a considerable debate as to how the toad could have gotten to the Crown of Command space...

There has not been an episode of Big Bang where they played any RPGs, although there was one where Wolowitz admitted to being a "dungeon master," and the girl he was talking to thought he meant he was into domination and bondage... haldir
I've seen the Dexter's Lab. episode, that one is pretty funny. Sadly there is a Spongebob (kids not me watch it) that is D&D based as well. Speaking of cartoons & gaming, anyone watch Adventure Time on Cartoon Network? Becoming one of my favorite cartoons on the tv right now. My kids, epically my son just loves watching that one. Same with The Regular Show
Dai-Mongar
Still remember the episode of Big Bang where they played Talisman (3rd edition, Fantasy Flight) in Leonard and Sheldon's living room. Led to a considerable debate as to how the toad could have gotten to the Crown of Command space... It wouldn't surprise me if it was a deliberate joke. I believe there was a Magic poster in one of the Spider-Man movies (might have been the first one, a poster for Onslaught), plus a copy of White Dwarf in Enemy of the State. Beowulfthehunter
Reaper miniatures as well as D&D 3.5 was played/painted in an episode or two of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Cronicles. Steve Correl painted minis in the 40 Year Old Virgin.

Episode #91, last week's show, "The Wiggly Finger Catalyst", the characters were playing D&D. Sheldon decided that all trivial decisions in his life would be determined by dice rolls. The funniest line for me was when Sheldon DM'ed and placed a dragon in the dugeon. Howard made a comment to the effect that that would never have been expected. Dr.Bedlam
You are, of course, correct. But you'll notice the date on my post. I personally think Chuck Lorre did that whole episode just to make a liar out of me.
haldir
40 year old virgin: Heck I remember seein that for the 1st time. It was the night before the plane ride down to ReaperCon. I stay at a motel in Boise, overnight, instead of making the hour trip around 4 or so in the morning. I can't believe I didn't remember that bit about that movie. Nanite
The late, lamented Freaks and Geeks features all sorts of nerd things, with the main slacker/burnout eventually assimilating with the nerds over a game of D&D ("I'm a dwarf, and I want to be called Carlos!)
