Ahh, very cool. So you took off the upper eyelids and did her anime-style. Very cool. How did you do that, a dremel with a pointed grinding stone?

I just use a sharp knife; I cut in and slightly upward at the crease of the lower eyelid, toward the eyeball. If I do it right, the whole lower eyelid comes off as a little crescent of metal, but sometimes it takes a couple of passes to remove the lid cleanly.

Minis that I sculpt don't have lower eyelids.

@loim, @vegel, @Ddot: Secret eye technique: I cut off the sculpted eyelids to widen her eyes and give her that intense stare.

Thx Derek for the color info, never too good with blue and off blue color so your tip is very helpful, always love the color teal. (I am from Hong Kong so my english is not that good, especially when it comes to color and food)

 

with your eye surgery... if I am to do it I think I'd ruin the sculpt : P

New WIPs: I've considered, but just not followed through. I tend to paint in bursts of a few hours (often starting at 10pm, "just for an hour", but that turns into three hours) and I don't stop to take photos. I do have a couple of new projects coming up, though, so maybe I'll shoot them along the way.
