How many people do you have coming so far?

I don't have the complete list with me here at work, but so far it is in the 10-12 player range. That is including 2 players in my gaming group that I can always kick out of the tournament if we have 16 other people to play.:lol:

These prizes intrique me... is Reaper donating some stuff for you to give as prizes?

I don't know. Are they?

Any prizes beyond what Reaper may provide  is being provided by me. Of course, since I'm not biased at all  I think the prizes are darn awesome! ^_^

Now I need to make sure everything is painted in time... I guess it is the years of playing in FoW tourneys where fully painted is forced upon you. I figure I'll be fully painted by this weekend.

Even though there is a Best Painted Army prize, there is NO requirement for you have a fully painted army. If you want to buy all of your figures once you get to Tulsa, put them together Friday night, and play them on Saturday, well, I'm sure that we can find a couple of people to help you do so! ::D: I'm more interested in people showing up and having a great time vs stressing out over making sure your army is painted just-so. That's lame!

I have a random question for all of the players involved. It has to do with the tables you will all be playing on.

Would you like:

1) all of the tables to have unique and individualistic terrain? As in, no two tables are the same?

OR

2) all of the tables to be exactly the same, so that there are no "surprises" moving from table to table?

I can see the benefits from either way. Each table different means you get different settings, new tactics, new fun things. The other way means a more even playing field. But if I have to call one side or the other...I'll say different terrain one each table. It's just fun.

Even though it opens up opportunities for someone to whine that he would have won a particular scenario "if only" he had played on a different style table, I personally like the visual aspects of a game as much as the tactical and its just not very visually stimulating to have a bunch of cookie cutter tables out there. I am with Warwick on this one. Different terrain to inspire different styles of play.

Different terrain setups per table is my vote as long as each side is balanced.

Balanced? What is this...balanced...that you speak of? Is this not the reason why you dice off to determine sides?

:upside:

But of course they would be balanced...in my favor! Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!
