MamaGeek
All very well done, but I agree with Joshua, the Gore Rot is especially well painted. The blends are so smooth, the colors just right, the contrast very nice. Great stuff!
Moderator TaleSpinner Posted December 12, 2011 Moderator Share Posted December 12, 2011 Beautiful in an ugly sort of way. All three are very well done. The bust is stunning. Thanks for sharing. Andy
Jabberwocky
Great stuff, Shane! You've definitely set the tone for the Reaper/Mannequin contest over at Miniature Heroes.

dks
Excellent painting, with the photography to show it off well. I especially like the rusty metal effect on the goblin's weapons, the variation in the grays on the dwarf, and the blue-black of the goblin's cloak. The Elven runes on the pedestal that you put under the two smaller figures, however, are a little distracting (or at least inconsistent with the feel of the figures themselves). joshuaslater
I didn't notice the Elven runes until Derek mentioned them. Goblins and Golems tread naturally over such things. Pansy Elves.
Shane
Lol, the Elven script are from the lid off a LOTR, One ring jewellery box I got as a present when the films came out. I use it to give some mini's a little height when taking pics. If the mini is of a lighter hue and tone I use a wooden plinth. This way it doesn't alter the specular of the photo or throw the levels out too much. I suppose I should get a blank plinth and paint it up plain black.
