Adrift
I decided to try painting this miniature as though she is a warrior making her way toward an opponent or group of enemies in the earliest hours of dawn. The sunrise is just beginning to light the day. I just felt like her movement forward was so dramatic that it required something special. Compliments and constructive feedback appreciated.
Digital [email protected]
Well, I think your light source works. At least to the point when I looked at the mini and before I read your statement, I saw the light effect and wondered if you did it on purpose or it was just how you chose to do the gold. So I noticed the effect without being told :)
Mercius
I think you did a great job here, although if the blends were a bit smoother it would sell the whole thing a bit more. That being said I am too scared to try a light source.
Adrift
Hah, thanks! This is my first attempt at doing something more significant with lighting other than doing extra highlights for overhead sunlight.
Akiosama
Very nicely done, Adrift. An interesting color scheme for a miniature that's usually dark in nature. Definitely more paladin than dark knight. I thought the blue was a very striking, and that it worked well with the yellow you chose. The overall effect was well done, and the miniature looks great.
