Marsya
Here is my version of Cassie. I just recently finished painting her for my husband's D&D character. I painted her a couple of years ago before I learned very much about painting minis. Here is my new version. And the original I wanted to keep the same basic look since it is the same character. I just went a little darker and less pink. I may revisit her and add a few more details but I have yet to complete a mini this year and needed to get something off the table and done. Also thank you to all the great painters on this forum who offer great advice and techniques which helped me to improve my painting.

MamaGeek
Wow, Marsya, what an improvement! You have much tighter brush control now,and I can see real shading and blending in the new one. The eyes look really nice, too. Good work! And keep it up. If you keep on this trend, you will be amazing before too long!
Marsya
Thank you both. @Mamageek blending is something I have really been trying to work on I tend to struggle quite a bit with it. I have finally begun to do better with certain colors like blue and green yet struggle with reds and yellows. So I tried to practice with the red and yellow on her this time. Reaperbryan
Great Improvement!! The nonmetallics on the outfit are great, and the color choices are really good! Very clean and smooth, which is better than I can do!

Kuro Cleanbrush
You're improvement is very remarkable! Keep up the good work! Also, excellent job on the face!
Marsya
Thank you everyone for the kind words. @Neatpete I liked the base for the original too but I don't remember where I got the material. It was something that I had laying around the house and thought would work for her. This time I just used a micro art studios base for her. Akiosama
Excellent work - it's for things like this that you want to hold onto those old miniatures, no matter how far you feel you've progressed. I do want to point out that your choice of colors, especially for the clothing, has improved on the new miniature. The clothing on the original seemed too close to a flesh color and made it hard to tell what the figure was wearing. The black is a far better choice, and it shows in the final product. And the base on the new figure is very well done and complements the character nicely. This is the kind of before and after that should inspire new artists. Well done! My 2 yen, Akiosama
Darkstar
That's a really good job and what an improvement, I love the shots like this that show off a painters progress. I know mine make me laugh when I look at them every once in a while for sure. Keep on at it, you're making total progress!
