skya
Sliced zucchini grills up nicely and quickly, and it keeps a good few days raw. I shall ponder if I can come up with other ideas. Mmmm.. zuccini. :) Mushrooms do too.
haldir
I for one loved having the left over veggie tray from the pre-Con dinner in the break/paint room on Thurs. Heck I must have munched on that thing all day long. It was a nice start to the Con. Add me for Sonic grilled cheese as well. Pretty sure I ate those more then anything while at the Con, last year. Captain Murray
Looks like this Sonic place is were everyone at the Con goes to lunch. It´s near Reaper? can we go on foot? By the way, what is this Tots everyone talks about. I´ve already heard something, but have no idea what kind of food it is...
haldir
Tots are Tater Tots!!! http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Tater_Tots Sonic Mike will be set up @ Reaper, so no need to go anywhere + they will be open pretty much the entire hours of the Con (granted there is a set up & break down time they won't be, but when your hungry, they are there!) Captain Murray
LOL... The fast food chains here in Brazil serves only fries or onion rings as side orders... they are not much creative :-) It looks like a dish we have here called Batata Suiça (Swiss Potato) and it´s made of slightly cooked potato, grinded and pressed in a frying pan, filled with whatever you like and than fried using very hot oil. I usually make at home using cream chesse and smoked turkey slices as filling and it get´s great. By the way, you give me a great idea for today´s dinner :-D Good to know that we will have some place to eat at the Con. I was kind worry to have to leave Reaper and ended up lost in Denton :-D
haldir
Actually there are some food places around Reaper HQ as well. I recall a Subway (sandwich shop) near + a bbq place as well. Hopefully this works http://maps.google.c...ps?hl=en&tab=wl (just put in Reaper Game Store, 9062 Teasley Lane, Denton, TX 76210 & you'll see the road that is pretty much the road of Reaper weekend, ha ha) This the road Reaper is located, between the Best Western hotel & Reaper this is a ton of places for food & such. If you want variety & such.
Shakandara
There is/was (I've not been since last con) also a good chinese place not far from HQ. Fast, inexpensive, and tasty. Oh, and if Mike shows up with some sort of grilled mushrooms and onions? Oh, hell yes. ~v
skya
Add me for Sonic grilled cheese as well. Pretty sure I ate those more then anything while at the Con, last year. Yeah, sadly I've got this milk allergy to deal with or I'd so be with you.
Dr.Bedlam
Looks like this Sonic place is were everyone at the Con goes to lunch. It´s near Reaper? can we go on foot? By the way, what is this Tots everyone talks about. I´ve already heard something, but have no idea what kind of food it is... Tater tots: shredded potato puffs which are then deep fried. And due to the kindness of SonicMike, there is a Sonic outlet IN ReaperCon. You can go on foot... because it's in the MIDDLE OF THE CON! And very reasonably priced, too. I have been to so many conventions where the vendors would charge you five bucks for a hot dog. Not SonicMike. He charges the same or less as you would pay at a Sonic drive in... Truly, a prince among men is our SonicMike. Peace and profits be unto him.
Inarah
If there are going to be some of the new sweet potato tater tots that I am hearing about on the radio, then mark me down as a vegetarian.
Dr.Bedlam
...sweet potato tots? I could be there for that...
Don Rodolfo Graziani
Not a vegetarian myself, but I'd love to have the grilled zuchinni as well.
Luethar
Sweet potato tots and/ or fries, grilled zucchini, mushrooms and onions. These are great ideas. I will bring them forward to SonicMike to see if he can meet these requests. Keep them coming! Lue.
MiniCannuck
I can't wait for this convention. If you take all this care and time to make sure we have good food on site, I am really psyched to see the gaming tables!
Fitzeolas
Though a bit on the pricey side. Large Portobello mushroom caps make a great "patty" for any kind of burger style sandwich. He would be able to to grill them on the grill with some butter, and could use all of the normally available veggies, buns, and condiments. They aren't hard to make either. They grill up fast. Plus, they taste awesome! Don't knock it till you try it! -Fitz
