Its funny you mention the shine. I had run out of the clear coat I had been using a while ago and they had changed the brand since I had purchased it last. When I went to get some more flat clear coat I couldn't find any. I mistook Satin for flat and was rather disappointed to find her shining brightly. When I did finally find a matte finish, it didn't take the original shine down enough. I'll have to try to find some of that dullcote in my area or order it online. Thanks...

@Fitzeolas Thank you, I was really working on getting more comfortable with washes on this piece so I'm glad she turned out well. You know, its funny, when I started working on her I didn't consider her to be an assasin. I always got more of a blade dancer, warrior feeling from her. That shine on her outter cloak is really glaring. Is there a generic product like dulcoat I can find at a hardware store or something else that would have the same effect?

Thanks again ;)...

I've always loved this sculpt, and you've done her justice! What is the red you're using?

Most places, you can find some kind of matte clear finish coat in a spray can, but if you have a local hobbyshop, I would definitely suggest Testors spray dullcote; it's absolutely the best.

Testors also makes a series of brush-on sealers in their Acryl line, one in matte, satin and gloss. I've had mine for five or so years now and they're still good and really useful for putting down a "savepoint" coat before doing freehand. Could also be good if you want to flatten out the cloak and skin but leave the gloss on the leathers.

@Sanael Thank you for the tip. Sadly I don't have a hobby store near by, but the next time I'm near civilization I'll look for Testors products. The paints I use are Apple Barrel acrylics found at Walmart. The reds were Cardinal Crimson and Apple Red for the high lights. Thank you for the compliments as well...

@Goblyn I'm glad the there red leather armor is coming across so well. I agree that a black cape might have played better off of the red. The cloak was actually green with washes of grey to bring the tone down. Thanks again...

@MonkeySloth Thank you, I'll have to look at Hobby Lobby when I get a chance. Sadly there isn't one, or any hobby stores, in my area. The best I have available to me is Walmart and Ace Hardware. The cost of living in a small community I'm afraid...

In answer to your question. If you have an art supply store of any kind they might have Grumbacher. I use the matte varnish for sealing. It is intended for oil and acrylic paintings but it actually works great for minis too. Just make sure you give each layer good time to dry.
