War in Taltos

Recommended Posts

What ever happen to the Warlord website where after you battled you both logged on to add the outcome of the game? That was a cool system but I seem to not be able to find it since I got back into the game. It added more story to the game an was cool seeing how other armys where doing against each other.

Overall, that idea was a good one, but the implementation lacked many needed features. It was taken down with the idea that it was going to be redone better. Since then its been more of a situation where the current Reaper web guy has been swamped other more important items, hence this post that got put up recently:

It was discountinued after the ReaperGames.com website was overhauled several years back. It's a shame that is was a casualty; although it was being used less and less, I think that was due more to the fact that Warlord was struggling at that time. If the battlereports and a working faction control map had made a reappearance when we launched Warlord2, who knows what would have happened with it?

I started playing Warlord with 2nd edition, so this is before my time. Sounds like a cool idea. Any cached pages out there to see what the system used to look like?

Check out the Wayback Machine. That's the main page of the Warlord site back in those days. The Balance of Power link goes to the aforementioned map of who controlled what areas of Taltos. IIRC, you had to be signed in to see the option to submit a battle report.

I'm sad it's gone, too. I would love to revamp it and attack it fresh.
