So far, I have: THURSDAY 10 AM – NOON Dancing a Jig with Death RPG 2 – 4 PM Alison Scheirman 1 on 1 4 – 6 PM Trailer : Blending with Layering with Rhonda Bender (Intermediate) FRIDAY Warlord Tourney SATURDAY 9 - 11 AM Back Room : Shaded Metallics with Michael Proctor (Intermediate) 4 – 6 PM Trailer : How Not to Suck with John Bonnot (Basic/Intermediate) SUNDAY 9 - 11 AM Back Room : Gems, Bottles, & Crystals with Jen Kaufman (Intermediate/Advanced) 1 PM Auction So, that's me; what does everyone else have, and who are going to be my classmates? Bumble_B Posted April 10, 2012 Share Posted April 10, 2012 Man you are both brave. I think I did something similar the first year I was at Reapercon and my brain was moosh at the end. One to two classes each con seems to be the right spot for me to enjoy everything going on. I took this class with Derek a couple of years ago and it's really, really good. I still refer back to my notes from this one. My reasoning in taking so many is that I'm an engineering student who's used to digesting about 4 hours of highly technical classes each day, so soaking up info is what I do. That's what I'm telling myself at least, but then again this isn't math and science. @ Fruggs: See you in the RPG and the tourney then! I'll have to have my pirate costume all ready by the time of the RPG so I can "Dance a Jig with Death" in proper attire. @ Michael Proctor: And thank you for having the class! I'm worried we've bitten off more than we can chew, but I just couldn't pass up the chance to take these classes. I didn't want to wait another year. With all that is going on during the Con, the knowledge that you learn in the classes slowly "leaks" out over the weekend. (perssonal experience) Took a day's worth of classes on a Friday & I kinda regret doing that, by the time I took Derrick's Monochrome class I was dead tired. Good luck everyone!! I've got Laszlo's Special Effects class too and managed to snag the one on one with Jen on Thursday. :D I also crammed in a bunch of classes but I'm kinda used to the insanity with attending writer conferences. You know you're gonna be dog-tired but when you get a chance to sit down in such a small venue with your favorite artists - you jump at it and don't look back. I have a pretty high tolerance for amount of classes, but I think Lichlord Murray is outdoing anything I ever managed for a class crazy schedule! It will be nice to have you as a insanity companion Shogan, I will try hard to keep you sane as I try to keep my sanity too LOL. I will pretty sure I will be exausted at the end of each Con day, but as I said before I scheduled my vacations, saved every penny I could get for the past six months and will travel 5100 miles from São Paulo to Dallas just to have the opportunity to sit side by side with the best painters ever. I really don´t know if I ever will be able to do such thing again, at least not for the next couple years. My intention as a hobbyist is to improve my painting as best as I can in the next few years and someday become part of Reaper Painting Crew. Maybe this way, I can bring Reaper minis to Brasil that, despite being one of the biggest RPG communities in the world, do not have many access to miniatures. Here it´s almost impossible to find miniatures to buy. All we have are those awful D&D or Mage Knight miniatures or the plastic one from Games Workshop (that are waaaaay to expensive for the regular player to buy).
