Artists Wren Posted April 12, 2012 Artists Share Posted April 12, 2012 I am organizing a miniature painting day at Organized Play on Sunday, April 15th from 1pm to 6pm. (http://organizedplay.org/ for address info.) We had one previous meeting in October, and I'm hoping to get a little more regular about organizing meetings to help start the Knoxville Area Miniature Painters club, a place where we can share tips and tricks, get feedback on our painting, and have fun hanging out with other people who enjoy the hobby. Whether you paint for armies, role-playing games, display or just for fun, whether you like fantasy, science fiction or historical figures, all painters are welcome! All you need are your brushes and a miniature or three to work on. (Or just bring your brushes and buy a mini at the store!) I have a large selection of Reaper Master Series and Reaper Master Series HD paints for everyone to use, but you are also welcome to bring your own paints or any other preferred supplies. If you (or a friend you’d like to bring along) have never painted a miniature before but are interested in the hobby, I will also have a small selection of miniatures and brushes available so you can try it out. GreyHorde
Would like to go, but there's a local con this weekend, one I've never been to before. Maybe next time. Anyone else who can make it, please go. You'll have a great time and probably learn a thing or three.
Anastrianna
Thaelynne and I made it out and we had a great time! We even worked it out so we painted outside on the covered patio so we could enjoy the lovely spring day as we painted. Thanks Wren for putting this together! Artists Wren Posted April 16, 2012 Author Artists Share Posted April 16, 2012 Thanks for coming out! It was pretty nice to paint outdoors, even if it meant the shop kitty couldn't hang out with us.
