Santini
Can you guys recommend a site or place for some step by step tutorials for mini painting. As I said in my last post I have not done this since I was a kid. I was good at it back then -- for a kid :) But looking over some of the work that you all have done I can see that I am light-years behind you. I do have some skill and a study hand but very little knowledge on how it’s done. What I would like is a site that will more less take me through it in baby steps, one thing at a time. I have also seen the Reaper, “Learn how to paint” sets. I’m thinking about grabbing one of them, just the paint and minis that come with it are worth the price. The guy that runs the place at the mall that I get my minis said that some pros, I think from Reaper, are going to come in to give some tutorials in a few months. I’m really looking forward to that! But for now some stuff to get me started would be great, thanks. btw, you all have a great community going here! Thank you Reaper for setting this up. Enchantra
Oh drat! If Only I was on my home computer I would have like 15 links for you! argh! Anyways, Dr. Faust's Painting Clinic is good, just do a search under Google for it. Alos a good place to go for painting tips is Paintrix's site. Again, do a google search, I did, she was first on the list. I will update this later with painting sites when I get home in a few hours. Santini
No hurry, I have to leave for work in about 30 so I won’t be looking any of this up until tonight. Thanks
Kheprera
Very basic and easy to follow, How to Paint by Wizards of the Coast is a good place to start. I would have given you the basic ones that Reaper had, but those have been removed recently due to the change in the system and all. Keep an eye out on Reaper's main site for more tips and tricks as poor, overworked Kit wrangles the time to get them up. But, for now, the Wizards articles are simple. From there I'd move to the coolminiornot.com articles for more in depth studies.
Whizard Hlavaz
Yup. All the good ones have been named. Dr. Faust., Paintrix, WOTC. I'd also try Cool Mini or Not. com Of course, you've already found the *BEST* site by a long shot. Ask anything you want here. Someone will answer. Enchantra
Beward pop-ups on CMON though. Nasty things those. This is exactly why I don't go to CMON anymore....

Then again, I haven't used Internet Explorer in a few years.
Kheprera
The problem with CMoN these days is the pop-ups go away if you pay. And they only take PayPal, which I will never, ever use.
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted November 18, 2003 Moderator Share Posted November 18, 2003 I used Opera 7 and now I use Mozilla Firebird, both of which block popups, so I hadn't noticed.
