papabees
Go see it today. Not absolutely perfect, but this is the movie I've been waiting for since I was ten years old. And I'm a self admitted movie snob.
Inarah
Agree. It was a good movie. Had a few stupid moments and the plot was paper thin, but the action and dialog made up for it. We'll be seeing it a 2nd time this week. And of course, stay for the credits.
Bruunwald
There were two special "secret" scenes of note, one just after the credits begin, and another at the tail end. The movie started out a bit thin, but got better and better as it went along. After awhile, I felt like I was eating big heaps of delicious cake. (Though it could have used another course of steak before I got there.) Still, an awesome cast, lots of fun, and great to see them all suited up together. Beowulfthehunter
The plot I felt was as thick as it needed to be. It was not overly complicated (which many movies feel they need to do) with all kinds of twists and turns. I really do feel this movie was as near to perfect as it could have been. They were able to blend action, with comdey, and drama (I almost shed a tear when a certian character died.) What the move did do that I thought it could not was actully make me care about the Hulk/Bruce Banner. I enjoyed, but was not a huge fan of the newest Hulk movie so I really did not care when they recast Norton, but oh my did they replace him with a perfect actor. Ruffaloe lost himself in the part and became the character. I actully enjoyed his banter on screen with Stark and when he did turn it and lay the smack down it was incredible. Joss does a good job of writing an ensamble cast and was the perfect choice for this movie.
psyberwolfe1
Super sweet awesome movie. I laughed. I cried. It was better than Cats.
Dr.Bedlam
SPOILER ALERT: Stilt-Man shows up and pwns everyone.
Akiosama
This movie was awesome. Great banter - reminded me of the good ol' Firefly days. The action sequences were great, and the plot sufficient for the movie. Was surprised to see Scarlett Johansen on the screen as much as she was. Not bad, but she didn't look as good to me as she did in Iron Man 2 . I actually was more swayed by Gwynneth Paltrow in the first scene in Stark Tower. That outfit was cute. But it was a great superhero movie from start to finish, to rival, or maybe even overtake the Dark Knight. I look forward to seeing where the franchise goes, especially if they can hold on to Joss Whedon. My 2 yen, Akiosama
Warlady
We thought it was the best of the bunch so far. Saw it yesterday morning, going back to see it again tonight. ;-)
Anne
I thought it was Awesome! I went to a marathon showing of all the films leading up to it, concluding with the midnight showing. It was a great time, exhausting but great experience! I felt like I was at a mini Wagnerian Ring Cycle. I highly recommend refreshers of at least the Thor and Captain America movies beforehand, was interesting to see the character progressions with everyone. Hulk was great and I think stole the show. Also everyone should stay to the end end of the credits, just saying. *SPOILER* And Stilt-Man was cool but the Ant Man and Wasp segments blew me away! MonkeySloth
The best part is when Cap and Stark went up to Wolverine in a café and ask for his help and he told them off.
Chrome
I went to a marathon showing of all the films leading up to it, Both Hulks, both Ironmans, Thor, and Capt America? And I hope that incluced the original Nick Fury movie!
Anne
Oh my! No it didn't include the Nick Fury movie, which I will be hunting for now! How did I miss this? And it's David Hasslehoff! Thank you for the info!
Akiosama
Haha. Nick Fury underwent some serious pigmentation changes between that movie and the current Marvel movie franchise. That in itself is amusing, but even more so, when I heard that Marvel rebooted Nick Fury in the comic books to look more like Samuel L. Jackson, too. They usually don't change characters THAT much. And the Hoff looks pretty old in that movie - especially in that running pose in the center of the poster. Makes him look like he's stiffly ambling along like an older person. My 2 yen, Akiosama
Brother Jim
The Nick Fury that looks like Sam Jackson is from the Ultimate universe, not the main Marvel universe.
Anne
Life model decoy? hehehe, I remember reading the reasoning behind the redrawing of Nick Fury a ways back (wasn't life model decoy), but my mind is a bit fuzzy on it at the moment, it seemed to make sense at the time, sorry my mind is like a sieve. Yes in the poster he looks a bit like he's bolting for the top secret SHIELD Senior Center (to the shuffleboard!), I'd still watch it though
