Here I've worked on the red and basecoated the spikes.

It is looking better adn better with each layer. Just make sure to go thinner and thinner with the paint with each layer too so that you can keep some of the previous colors.

You’re right about layer thickness, I think I was too generous with the final red layer on the claws. This flat red was very fluid.

 

I think I'm done with the crab now. I just wanted to show some more pictures before sealing it. Any comments are always welcome.
