Shogan
I am so excited to watch a ton of cowboy movies and paint my gunslinger minis this weekend!
Qwyksilver
Justice league unlimited. How sad is that? Love all the dc animated stuff. I taught my daughter her colors on those DVD's. As a result she was probably the only 3 year old whose two favorite superheroes were Wonder Woman (naturally) and Martian Manhunter . While I don't watch them when I paint. The DCU animated fare is a staple for long car trips in the travel DVD player. When I paint, I usually just listen to the radio. I get too easily distracted by a movie or TV or the computer or just about anything.

Believe it or not, one of those DVDs what what inspired me to kitbash a Jonah Hex figure to go with all the Reaper cowboys. And then, I learned that HeroClix already has two different Jonah Hex figures. So I bought them. And mine's better. Damn you, Gene and Jason, this is all your fault! Beowulfthehunter
I always have background stuff going on. I prefer movie comentaries when I paint, but that means I have to buy the move as most of the Redbox offerings do not have that option in my area. I also listen to a great deal of Reviews. I have been addicted to That Guy With The Glasses as background noise.
Anne
On the occasion that I do have a movie on in the background, I play Tarantino films (Kill Bill 1&2 yay!) they are fun to listen to, or Conan (1st movie), or Three Musketeers (Michael York version), or LotR, or Shogun Assassin. Duliniel
I've just discovered an HP Lovecraft audio library here: http://www.miskatonic-university.org/libervox.php Then, you can listen to some really fun discussions of his works here (or free in iTunes, which seems to work better on my Mac): http://hppodcraft.com/
Dr.Bedlam
I have several CDs of old radio shows. Surprisingly, they do not go well with painting, at least not for me.... I get too wound up in the narrative. And on at least one occasion, I have spoiled a miniature when a "sting" moment came in a suspense story, and startled the hell out of me when I had a brushful of paint ready to do a face, and... ***ZING!*** Irritating.

That's happened to me before, too!
