I don't know why, but the rainbeetle crunching made me laugh out loud.

 

Is it sad that I have this forum open on like three tabs? It just stays open all day. I look, I go to work, come home, there it is, three tabs. All. Day.

Well, since you're asking me then I can tell you that discarded pizza boxes are an excellent source of cheese, you can save a lot on veggies by creatively combining grasses and pinecones, and rain beetles are both easy to catch and full of delicious protein.

With each passing day we have more and more people getting jumping in. Some percentage of those people are going to increase their pledges as they get tempted by the add-on stretch goals. That combined with the increased amount of loot at each goal justify increases between each progressive stretch goal.

 

I for one think that the the folks at Reaper have set up their goals very intelligently thus far.

 

On a side note I am going to be leaving for Gencon in the very near future and will not be checking in on the kickstarter site or this thread until monday. I am very intrigued by what i will find upon my return. What new heroes and monsters will await me? What awesome huge figs will demand an increase to my pledge?

Is not fast enough! How can we drive them crazy if we're only doing 1-2 unlocks a day?

 

We definitely need to kick it up a gear (hur hur, because it's a clockwork dragon) and get 4-5 unlocks a day. Just so that when they go crazy we can nod and smile and say to ourselves. "Yup. We did that".

Put this on all your forums please:

 

If you will add to your pledge when x item is officially available, you might as well raise your contribution now (so that it happens faster). Since we have limited time, this will open more stuff sooner, ie more options and more freebies. You can always reduce your pledge at a later stage if need be (at least before the KS ends).

 

More velocity= more stuff= more new folks= more velocity= more stuff= more new folks= more velocity= rinse and repeat until the end which will be a glorious orgy of minis. The more velocity we have the bigger the orgy!

 

And for those that say 50k is an ok strech goal (40k is the preferable number):

 

 

$40k is the right number, it has been clicking around once every 24 hours. $50l was too slow. At this point everything is wowing us :p

But then again, as we get more backers, the number (maybe not %) who will pick up the next great item may grow. There is some cannibalization going on though. Do I really need 5 dragons? How about three and Cthulhu plus the Giant Skelly? These kinds of thoughts are happening as the the current backers are getting stretched to their limit.

But, from Reapers perspective it is not a big deal as their goal is more models, not particularly more units per model. The per unit cost is negligible when compared to the set up cost it seems. More goals = more models for them, much better in the long run (which is the race they are in).
