Kickstarter Discussion Thread

I ain't picky where they hail from. We all speak the language of stabby stab the adventurers with sticks of pointy.

Hey now, for some of us, the goblinoids are the adventurers and those nasty humans are the enemy seeking to overwhelm us!

Love my 4E Eberron campaign based originally in Darguun, and now branching out into Sharn.

Either way, the answer to every problem is stabby stab with sticks of pointy.

We can debate who's the adventurer and who's the monster all day, but it still comes down to poke that with this.

Just did a little more math.

First of all, by my count we're getting 133 bones miniatures + 1 sophie (instead of 132 stated on the Kickstarter page):

30 New Bones

+ 36 Dungeon Attack

+ 4 Fighters

+ 10 Undead Horde

+ 4 BBEG

+ 4 Elves

+ 4 Dwarves

+ 4 Klocke Classics

+ 4 Fire It Up

+ 5 Townsfolk

+ 6 Heroes

+ 5 Haunts

+ 10 Chronoscope

+ 1 Mister Bones

+ 6 IMEF Marines

133 Bones Miniatures

Total Miniatures (with Sophie) = 134

For my extra miniatures, I'm adding on There Be Dragons, Demons, Undead Giant, Clockwork Dragon, and 6 more IMEF marines. This is 12 more miniatures.

My total miniatures: 146

For other extras I'm getting the new exclusive paint set and the case.

Total pledge: $204

subtract case and paint set to get PPM (price per mini) - $43

Total Miniature Pledge: $161

PPM = Total Miniature Pledge / Total Miniatures:

$161 / 146 = $1.10 per miniature

HOLY CRAP! That's a great deal!

That's to much math for my taste.. lol That is indeed an excellent deal. :)

Obviously, you should eat the banana, thereby disarming him.

Here's my planned pledge so far:

$306 for Undertaker - 1 Reg sophie + 2x nekkids

$100 for Vampire - 1 reg sophie (so it evens out at 2/2)

$110 for Sophie set

$100 for all options (so far)

$36 for paint

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Total: $652

I may get extras of some free sets though. I plan on pledging at least $700.

Oh, and the Pathfinder announcement almost made me fall out of my chair. Am I wrong in remembering that a couple of days ago we were told there was no way we were going to see licensed minis in this kickstarter? I'm not complaining by any stretch of the imagination- I'm just really, really surprised! And very happy- those are some great looking Gobbos!

While I'm certain no one from Reaper said that, there was plenty of conjecture (from myself included) that seeing Bones miniatures for any licensed line (like Pathfinder) was unlikely. Not impossible, of course, but unlikely.

Clearly, Reaper has stomped all over the ground for what is "unlikely" in the last couple days (Parthfinder minis, a brand new dragon straight-to-Bones, Chronoscope minis in what has been an otherwise fantasy-dominated KS, etc.), and at this point, I'd not be surprised to see more "unlikely" items appear in the stretch goals of the last 9 days of the project.

One thing, however, is absolutely certain.

It's gonna be cool. :blues:

Actually, either Bryan or Matt did say that due to licensing they were outside the scope of this KS, they're tricksy like that. But I'm sure we're all fine with that too...

What I like is how they seem to give it that personal touch. I mean, I know (or at least I'm pretty sure) that they're not all gathered around a table in a dimly-lit room at Reaper HQ and discussing, in raspy voices with their faces obscured by cowls, exactly how they can come up with things that will blow my goblin mind.

But yet?

Cyborg ape. Mind blown.

Clockwork Dragon? What's left of brain cavity scraped out.

How can they top that? How? Impossible.

For mere mortals.

Today, a pack of 9 astonishing evil brethren. Having no mind left to blow, my reality simply collapsed into a tie-dyed singularity where floating, smiling Bones miniatures are accompanied by the soft yogic strumming of a Sitar.

It's like every good, thoughtful christmas and birthday present I never got wrapped up in one big kickstarter box with a handcrafted bow and a little tag that says:

"For Buglips:

Love Always,

-Reaper Team"

Even though I as an avid D&D 4th ed player like to make fun of fellow gamers who play pathfinder I'm still freakin excited about these new minis Reaper has revealed! :D

That's cute. 4th edition fan, and you're making fun of people? Just adorable.

I haven't played Pathfinder (though I've had the starter box in my hands in the store a few times), I really, really like these goblins figures.
