I have no idea how to place videos into this thread, but if I were able to respond to Buglip"s asking for extinguishing; it would be with a video of Eric Cartman beating Kenny McCormick with a stick to put out the flames. It would not be pointy...necessarily...I have managed to secure a ghost pledge and keep my own metal purity intact. Thank gods for the dependability of Dodge motor company!

Ha ha!

Only certified WIZARDS can post videos in a thread. Ha ha!

And you shall never, ever know the secret that all you have to do is put the link in the text and it does it automatically!

Never!

Ha ha ha!

Stupid muggle. :-p

Y'know, that went in a totally different direction from what I had in mind.

And at first I was all like: "whut?"

But then I thought about it a little, and realized that the first time you lay eyes on a terrifying cyborg ape riding a dragon made out of gears - well, the unexpected banjo music is actually significantly more terrifying.

Cheerful, and a little bit mad.

It lets you know that what's coming next is gonna get weird . . . and the monkey likes it that way.

ETA: And stanky shoes are the only kind of shoes I wear. When I wear shoes. Once I had a brand new pair, and it was just all wrong. I had to trudge through a fetid swamp to get them juuuust right.

My thoughts Exactly!!

Kid 1: "What's this?"

Kid 2: "Some Theme Song, It's supposed to be good..."

Kid 1: "Did you try it?"

Kid 2: "I'm not gonna try it. YOU try it."

Kid 1: "I'M not gonna try it. You try it."

Kid 2: "I KNOW! Let's get MONKEY!!"

Kid 1: "YEAH!!"

Kid 2: "He won't like it, he hates EVERYTHING."

Kid 1: "He likes it, HEY MONKEY!!"

Monkey: "eweweweAhahah OHHHHhhhhh...."

*Whine of Monkey's chain gun spinning up as the camera cuts back to the two kids with very big eyes*

And lo, the monkey acquired his forbidden name: Mikey

And his legend grew swift and terrible.

Now, ere these many years, on nights of the pale full moon when cold witches wind haunts these eaves, if ye children shall listen closely to the night you shall hear carried upon the echoing stillness the whirr of his most dreaded machinegun.

And know ye that cyber-mikey likes it.

Likes it very much indeed.

I was going to be like . . . Boooooo paints! Who needs paints? Vallejo makes the best paints anyway . . .

And then I saw the "Bathalian Chitin" color. And anything that has to do with Bathalian's is pure win.

I guess Pathfinder heroes are like the only big category to be ported to Bones at this point.

Although some CLOCKWORK HUMANOIDS would be excellent subs for WarForged, and be awesome models. Just saying.

Those paints are pretty damn amazing for any Australian. We pay $5-$7 a bottle over here, so snagging them for $1.50 a bottle (with the current exchange rate) is huge. It's about $240 worth of paint for a measly $72.

Need a kickstarter program like this every six months!

Well, I too was kinda like paints huh? Not terribly exciting. But when I wake up and see that we've made 30K worth of progress, I figure not only is the magic still there, it's getting stronger. Must be a wand waving goblin, although that would usually incite intelligent creatures to flee.

Well there goes another $36 I'll be adding to my pledge. I'm pretty sure those 2 sets would cost around $60 retail, if not more.

Maybe they should add a palette of some kind. I do have my paint encrusted washcloth though...

$78.96 + shipping.

I am grabbing every set they are offering at that price.

(especially since I haven't painted in over 10 years & I have to replace all my brushes and paints.)

I have been painting with Vallejo paints for years, having been through several different brands before settling on Vallejo. Since then, Reaper has sent me some samples of their paints with orders I've placed. Reaper's paints are hands down my favorites now, and proportionally I have way fewer bottles.

Does anyone know the average shelf life of the Reaper Paints? This may not be an "exciting" milestone, but it's definitely a substantial one. I own about 150 Reaper Paints (including all of Set 1), so I was just going to get Set 2, but I only own about half of Set 3 and it has colors that are sure to get run down. *coughmettalicsgaminggroupclockworkdragoncough*

Sorry, something in my throat there. ANYWAY, I'm wondering how worthwhile it would be to double up on paint colors. Otherwise, I need to recruit someone to the painting side of minis with a gift. :)

I have bottles of Reaper paints from the original batch that are still good. Those have to 8 years old at this point. I would like to point out though that I have had several Reaper colors dry up in the bottles but I have had the same problem with a couple of Vallejo colors as well. I have no idea why this happens, but it does seem to be a rare occurrence and brand does not seem to matter.

Just started poking around here after I saw the Reaper Kickstarter. The Reaper paints on offer on the Kickstarter I'm of course going to order some so the question is just how much paint does it take to paint 130 minis? (I'm pretty new to painting).

Depends very much on the way you paint. If you pretty much only take out what you use I could see it lasting for a lot more minis than this, considering you don't use the same colors on every one. If you just squeeze out a bunch for every stroke, maybe not.

Also remember that some colors often end up running out much faster. Stuff like white/black, the useful greys and other often used shades. And the sealer.
