Then I decided that once the Vampire level averaged a $1 a figure, it would be worth it to upgrade.
Even at the base pledge of $100 its 80minis+Sophie. Sure that isn't $1 a mini, but Bones average $2 a mini and its well under that already, so you can safely call it a bargin. Especially allowing for the KS to be finished and add more content.

So any idea what the retail on some of these Bones will be? Specifically the Dragon and Fire Giants?

The Vampire level with add-ons is already a good deal, and will definitely be one when the $115k stretch goal is reached, I'm just wondering how good of a deal.

As we haven't actually made them yet, we are using educated guesses on the cost, which will be the final arbiter of MSRP, but our educated guess about MSRP is that Each Giant will MSRP between $7.99 and $9.99, and Ebonwrath will probably chime in MSRP $19.99-$24.99

25 bucks!!!!

at that price I'll be getting Ebonwraith just to watch my players suck in their chair seats when I plop down the mini on the battlemat!

If you want to scare your players, you really should get Rauthuros, Mr. "Oh BLEEEP! We are so dead. But, on the bright side, our melee types can fight in the shade."

Hopefully, he's the stretch goal above the crypt...

PS: For reference, the base is 2" wide.

Ebonwraith is a beautiful model that I can't wait to get.

I've been watching the. New BBC series Sherlock and have some guesses:

Ebonwraith - he appears in the video and is similar to the last tombstone.

Paint promo - this is due to the one tombstone and it is genius marketing. This stretch will easily be reach before the PAX West convention and will be a great incentive at the booth for new people to the hobby to join in.

Spiders - they Are in the video and would make a great "horde" stretch goal. You always need more spiders!

I think it has also been said that the pattern of every other goal will be a paid level. For the non paid levels, the seem to be helping us flesh out the models we need multiples of.

So, what other models from the Dark Heaven line lend themselves to fantasy hordes?

This kick starter campaign has become very addictive! I sneak time into my day just to see the numbers move.

Hi all, anyone know what kind of customs duties would have to be paid on import to the UK on these items?

Say you went for Vamp with the 2 addons so far.

Now i asked a similar question on another kickstarter, as i understand it we are technicaly investing in the company and these are rewards/demo pieces. We are not " buying " the minis. Or are we?

Any thoughts/comments would be great.

Brian.

Unfortunately, that's all in the hands of your customs officials across the pond. So, if you bought a Vampire level and the addons, we'd have to put a value of $120 on the box and the UK Tax Man would take it from there. However...keep in mind that we're only declaring the value of what you pledged/paid and *not* the actual retail value of the items in the box. I know, it's not much of a siilver lining, but it's there. ::):

Thanks Reaper Ron.

My thoughts were more along this line. The project backers are technicaly not buying any products though. They are investing in a project. Should that project come to fruition they get a reward. Rather than this being a % of the company or some other long term reward they recieve some "Demo" miniatures.

Just my thoughts.

Also just to clarify, im not wanting to bypass the system, just trying to work out what ill get charged when it finaly does arrive.

Where do the minis in the video come from? Are they test pieces or similar?

The minis in the video are "whites"; metal master or (more likely) production models that have been primered white to be photographed and added to the website back when the models were released into the DHL line.

Spiders - they Are in the video and would make a great "horde" stretch goal. You always need more spiders!

Actually, those are Isiri Arachnid archers and warriors (i.e. driders) from the Warlord line, not spiders, in the video.

I would not be surprised to see the giant spider from the LE line show up in Bones as one of the freebie stretch goals.

I'd wager my entire kickstarter investment that Ron is correct; Rauthuros was in the video, and that is a "cartoon" version of his head and wings as the shape for the top of that tombstone. I'm not hurting for Rauthuros in my collection as is (1 painted, 1 assembled and primered, 1 unassembled), but I wouldn't argue with a couple more in plastic. I'd love to put my campaign group up against a pack of balor... ::D:

EDIT: For the record, I am hoping we see more of Tre's (and Jason's) freakin' awesome gnolls as Bones through this project. Those minis are so damn cool, and I'd love to have 1/2 a dozen of each, but at $9-17 a pop, a good gnoll horde gets expensive real fast. Even the two that are in P-65 are $7 and $11. The existing Bones Gnoll is $2.50... yeah, I'd take that!

Thats ok :)

Just have to make sure i have some more money lying around for when it comes over. Not ordered anythign from the states before due to this.

The info online as to how much you would get charged are minimal to say the least.

From what i can tell ill get charged VAT Duty of a certain amout but that ammount depends on what its declared as (as in the goods). Which is then applied to the total value (shipping+value) of the package.

Ive spoken to some people and its basicaly a lottery if your stuff gets pulled up or not.

Ah well the fun of international dealings :)

Take care and lets keep on having this thing busting its stretches.

Luckily, we can declare tha value as your pledge amount, not MSRP. At this time, Assuming ALL shown goals pass, and ALL options are purchsed, you'd pay $120+Shipping, so we can declare $120 (USD). MSRP of Vampire (including BBEG pack) PLUS options is estimated to be within 10%* of $260 (USD)

* I say within 10% because we have a pretty accurate pricing model that has helped us estimate this, but there are variables we don't quite have, and so we guessed.

Where do the minis in the video come from? Are they test pieces or similar?
To Echo what Vince said, and expand - the pieces in the video are not Bones yet, they are metal. We make our Bones Master figures in metal, which we then use to create our Bones Molds. We make more than one master copy as backups and in this case we snagged one of the backup sets, sprayed them white (for photos and videos) and that's what you see in the pictures and videos.

You are seeing the pre-production masters. But if we compare the pre-production masters of, for example, the Bugbear :

With the production version of the Bones Bugbear

77015_w_1.jpg

You can see that there is no discernible loss of detail or quality.

This is how we are confident showing Metal Masters, because our sculpt quality for plastics is incredible, especially for the price!
