Bryan on the kick starter had mentioned you have XX kids as a reason you weren't on all the time. Glad to see I hadn't lost total track and you weren't up to 20.

And cute as buttons, the lot of them. Cute as cute buttons, if such things exist.

I'm usually on after bedtime, and up through the wee hours.

I still contend that perhaps 'girl breath' was meant as a complement ;-)

I'm prepared to hug it out if everyone else is.

<group hug>

Thank you.

You guys are doing a great job. Not only are you converting a lot of your current miniatures to Bones but you're adding new ones too. Speaking of which, how big will Nethyrmaul be? Will the sculpt include the rock he's standing on? It looks frakking amazing!

Asked how big he'd be myself. I'm afraid the answer at this time is we're not sure yet. Just really big.

Just so y'all know, we did our best to pimp this project up at the Gen Con paint and take. Lots of questions about the Bones line, and more than a few raised eyebrows when we told our patrons that no priming was needed.

Lots of interest in the project, and at the value being offered. I'm looking forward to seeing how many new backers come in over the next couple days as people get home and start checking it out.

You have a few backers coming over from boardgamegeek as well. A bunch of people want them for Descent 2. They have a conversion kit for all the monsters and characters from the 1st addition. All you really need to use it is minis so people who didn't get the first Descent plus all the expansion are looking for minis they can use.

It's almost to 1 mill. Why are people slowing down? It's only money. Invest in Bones! It's never been worth zero. x]

Just $7100 away. Come on. I know there's 284 of you that wants that nice dragon. You don't just want it. You simply MUST have it. Search your feelings, you know it to be true! It's your destiny. ::):

I have to ask, why is "no priming" such a big deal?

Since I do plastic models & miniatures, priming is just a natural thing & very easy thing to do for me. I guess that's why it's not a big deal for me but I had to ask.

I always prime too, regardless of the material. I like everything to be ALL black before I start painting it at all. I think it helps a lot just in case you miss a spot or it happens to be a spot that's hard to reach later on. It's basically free shading with no skill involved (skill... aka tiny brushes and even smaller eyeballs).

Edit: Hate to post too much so.. pre-emptive reply!

At least the bases will be 10x easier to cut off than, oh, say, a metal mini's base.

It will be harder to slowly sculpt out details of, oh, say, a foot though.

When I asked about the paint case before, there was only two sets. Now there are four. Two of those paint sets are using existing paints.

Can we pretty please get a good deal on a paint case with an exclusive Bones Artwork of the Completed KS?

And is everything going to be a brocoli base? Any chance they'll be like the recent dwarf and be flat/stone like? Or maybe compromise with 'brocoli' on top and straight sides? Some of the bases, if they follow the metal versions, are going to be small anyway so maybe something new for those figures?

For myself when I get a new miniature (back when I was still buying and painting my own) I would be very jazzed about getting home and starting right away - then I would have to wash, prime and wait for it to dry. That took some enthusiasm and added time to an already limited amount I had for this in the first place. I'd much rather break open a blister and start painting right away with out any delay. But that is just me and my neurosis! YMMV!

*A bunch of business mumbo-jumbo used to be here*

I'd also like to point out that we're starting to fear "option fatigue". People said they were getting dragon'd out, and we are wondering if 30 different options might be asking for just a bit too much. I'd rather not make you up your pledge one cent than make you feel nickle-and-dimed to death. Does that make sense?

Makes perfect sense. The only thing the options have run me out of is money to pay for them!

At this point, I'm prioritizing my options; getting the stuff I want but might not be able to talk myself into at retail, then saving what I can't afford now but would get at retail for retail. Or the webstore, so Reaper gets a bigger cut to make up for the shellacking they're taking on what I am getting!
