Who else noticed that Undertaker level graphic changed

 

• Acknowledges customers will be buying it in the big green image, but still lists retailer only in the right hand pledge table.
  
• Specifies the racks are retailer only.
  
• Doesn't yet have any of the Chronoscope minis.

Hey folks, first time poster here, so be gentle with me... or at least my question.

 

I'm sure it's been asked somewhere in the multitudes of pages this topic now has, but are we able to order more than one of the specific "big guys" options with a Vampire or Undertaker level pledge? Only the Ice Giant Queen and King specifically mention ordering two of each, but what about the rest? Is it possible to add in $20.00 for TWO Pathfinder Red Dragons? If anyone knows the official answer to this, it would be a tremendous help to me. Thanks.

Multiples of single options are confirmed by the fact they can impact international shipping.

I was figuring that was the case when they added "single Option" to the wording, but it's always nice to get additional confirmation. :)

No big conspiracy. The right-hand description can't be changed once a single person pledges at that level, but in the course of the campaign, the guidelines changed. Kickstarter limitation.

Ah well. Looks like they get less than half of what they could have gotten (from me, anyway). Realistically, I won't be buying many of the other items at retail either. There's realistically no need for 2x of most of those figures (or even 1x for many of them...) nor for 8 different dragons. - stuff I would have bought in the KS "just because". And as reasonable as it might be, I'm still very disappointed that Bryan/Reaper have changed their tune on this. If you want to see a complicated KS with many options that still got worked out nicely by a tiny staff, check out Mantic's KoW KS. Time to slash that shopping list down to something more manageable...

 

As for pledges. I'm down for enough already. I'll add anything else on the last day when I can see everything that's on offer - what I'll really wand and what I'll pass on. No point in them adding more add-on stretch options in the 24 hours, as they'll just be "swap outs" from what I can actually afford...

Kickstarter update #33 also confirms this

All Options and unlimited levels are unlimited. You can add to your pledge for as many as you want. Some Options require a minimum level to qualify for them.

Understandable. I've just been wondering since Reaper Bryan asked non retailer customers not to order undertaker back in this post.

 

Honestly, while I've wanted to order Undertaker, mostly due to Figmentia, I can do without it. Technically, it is a great value, but it truly is more minis than I'll need for a long time due to a copious miniature collection.

You are an adult, it is your choice what you do with your money, but I'm getting the feeling Reaper is doing you a favor. If your disposable cash fluxuates that much by check to check, you might be better served by banking the extra $400-$500 you would have spent.

Que? I'm not sure if you're misunderstanding my point or being deliberately rude, so I'll assume the former and explain in case you lack the context.

 

Bryan posted on another forum awhile back that there would be a pledge manager. I'd counted on that when working out my disposable income. When I get paid, I bank some, pay bills, take care of other things, and what's left is my spending money. Given that until the email yesterday from KS about "pledge it all now" there was no need to save my pennies from my last pay's spending money - and 2 weeks ago, this KS was a lot less expensive as well, I'd have had it covered with what I have to spend now anyway. I wasn't expecting it to go ballistic and smash Sedition Wars and everything else in the way it has. I also consider myself to be acting financially responsible by only spending what I have as disposable cash at the time instead of "lolcreditcards" (which I've managed to avoid having or needing to date, TYVM.) - Or "needing" to dip into savings to pay for toy soldiers.

 

So my issue is because of the fact that one thing was said over a week ago, and now that situation has suddenly changed with only a few days to go. It's obviously not "bait-and-switch" or malicious, but it does mean that my plans no longer work.

 

Hopefully that explains it a little better.

There is a pledge manager, you can add or subtract as much as you want all the way until the last day. You don;t have to pledge it all right this minute, just before the KS ends

 

You just can't do anything *after* the KS ends.

I'm just telling you how it is currently. Pledge any time between now and the end, modify your pledge however you want between now and then. You cannot add or remove anything after the KS is over. That's it

When this is over, either I'm going to keep posting to this thread or beg for a general chat thread to replace it. I've begun to dread the end of the kickstarter for fear that fun time will be over.

Happy to say not having any trouble loading the Kickstarter page anymore. I don't know if that's because of something was done by Reaper, Kickstarter or just my connection is having less problems. Either way it's good!

 

I'm not sure why all the complaints about how things work with payments etc. All the kickstarters work the same way in that you have to pledge your total amount by the time it ends. (I'll add some to mine the last day I'm sure - Right now I'm postponing my guilt about the amount I'm spending). The right side pledge information is always unchangeable so if something needs more detail there are always issues about that. That is nothing new. Also I've found if I have questions Reaper has been great about answering them.

 

As for figure choices made there are always some in the mix that for any given person are not optimal. The Bone trading thread makes it very clear people have different priorites (wish there were people in Korea to trade with). I'm not sure where the hate is coming from about someone saying they wish any given reward was different. The total deal is great no matter how you look at it and no one has argued it isn't. Just that some things work better for them than others. Personally I still want to see a pack with 2 gnolls, 2 lizardmen, 2 serpentmen and maybe an ogre (edit: and another hellhound! :). I don't it's going to happen but it would be nice!
