galahad - here's my worst experiences, and no, i'm not referring to any one person, but 3-4 PER CONVENTION I attend:

 

Guy asks for a Human Fighter with a Bow.

 

I present to him Mason thornwarden. Guy says "No, that says he's a ranger. I want a fighter with a bow"

 

The details change form person to person, but the story is the same.

"Fighter in plate, blister says paladin"

"Halfling, Blister says gnome"

"Human, Blister says half-elf"

 

You forgot "I want an elf. That says drow." Or vice versa.

I really wish I had that tiefling wizard right now. Just started a Skull & Shackles campaign and he'd be quite nice for my character.

 

Can you just accelerate that one figure so that I get it in 3 weeks? I'm sure it won't be too much trouble.

Sweet townsfolk! AND a $57k bump to wake up to. Like it. Also, it looks like my question may have gotten lost amongst all the KSflamewar2012 (seriously, thought I was at a monster truck rally, reading through some of that! ), so I'll give it a bump here: do the Reaperpeeps know yet, will the sarcophagus from the dungeon dressing set be two pieces in bones (as it is in metal), or only one solid piece?

I'm betting we can somehow go INTO the water.

 

In any case, HOT DAMN. I have to commend Reaper on executing an amazing Kickstarter campaign. Sure, it isn't done yet, but the precision has been amazing. I can tell that as Bryan said, they spent a lot of time examining previous campaigns because watching this makes it all seem both inevitable and addicting.

I have to admit I feel really happy for you guys. Even though I'm a lapsed Reaper fan (I fell victim to the lure of prepainted WotC stuff) I always thought Reaper put out the best looking miniatures. It is just great knowing that you could be so successful in today's economy selling luxury items like miniatures!

They're a good size. I just bought a bunch. Should have waited for the KS. Would have gotten just as many...plus extras for the same price.

 

Ah well. Maybe I will use the plastic one as a fishing lure

 

Dude, I know that feel. I bought all of the new Frost Giants right before I checked the Kickstarter for the first time...and discovered the Frost Giant King and Queen were part of the deal. I console myself with the fact that I'll need them way before March. A few days later I ordered a bunch of Spider Centaurs...only to have the Spider Centaurs show up within the next few days on the Kickstarter. Luckily I also need them before March (see, the Frost Giants are guarding the surface entrance to the secret drow city, and the driders are guarding the outer ring of that city...).

 

But then a few days ago I was at my FLGS and bought the Tiilk warriors, only to get home and find the new stretch goal was...Tiilk Warriors. And I don't even have plans for those, so I could have waited! Damn impulse buys!!!! And I was so happy when the Bedeviled stretch goal was revealed, because the only Hellborn model I own -- Damien, Hellborn Wizard (which I bought last month) -- wasn't included in that batch of Hellborn, so no repeats. And then guess who shows up in the latest stretch? Damien, Hellborn Wizard.

 

I mean, its okay that there are a bunch of repeats in this Bones collection of things I already have. Considering I have hundreds of miniatures and most of them are Reaper minis, some repeats are to be expected. But why are they all miniatures I bought within the last month or so? I swear to god, someone at Reaper is @#!&ing with me. On purpose.

 

Bit disappointed that there was no option this time around. Also, I've changed my mind. While Bathalions would be cool, I wanna see a goroloth hiding in that pool. Those things are freaking expensive and a total pain in the butt to assemble. Bring on the non-trademarked aboleths!
