Nah, Mr. Bones just needs to put on some diving equipment. I'm hoping for some sea elves. ^_^
Well we did already get some not-Sahaugin, but I'm hoping for Goroloth & Goroloth drone for the Underground pool.

galahad - here's my worst experiences, and no, i'm not referring to any one person, but 3-4 PER CONVENTION I attend:

Guy asks for a Human Fighter with a Bow.

I present to him Mason thornwarden. Guy says "No, that says he's a ranger. I want a fighter with a bow"

The details change form person to person, but the story is the same.

"Fighter in plate, blister says paladin"

"Halfling, Blister says gnome"

"Human, Blister says half-elf"

I blame your sculptors. They're too good. Like I've whined that Reaper needs some human female archers, only to be told "Just use an elf." Except Reaper's sculptors are so good that the elves look like elves. Even Neinna, with her hood concealing her pointy ears, is clearly an elf. I consider that a true testament to how very, very excellent the work your sculptors do.

Hey! It's the old man with a scythe showing his scroll of creepy stick-person porn.

Dammit, Nathaniel. Once seen, it cannot be unseen.

The pattern seeking nature of the human brain is a wonderful thing.

Alright, I just figured it out...

Once they hit 1.3 million they;re going to take all the money and buy one of these for the office...

Admit it...and give me a ride in it and we'll call it even for the minis

Reaper has done and amazing job with the Kickstart. Kudos to the whole team. It has been interesting being in since day one. I still am looking forward to seeing the final hours of this event.

Put in a pledge yesterday. Come March/April/June, I'll need A LOT of SUPERGLUE.

Also; will Nethyrmaul and the Clockwork Dragon be available for purchase in your online store in the future? Or are they completely exclusive to the kickstarter program, like the biker sophie?

They've said the only exclusive is Sophie. Everything else should be available for purchase. That was their whole deal with KS was getting the money to make all the moulds for all these awesome figures.

I keep thinking of the old Biff Rose song about buying a million hamburgers just to watch them change the sign. I think they would be irritated though if someone pledged a hundred grand or so we could see the next goal then changed their pledge amount back.

Well, the maximum you can pledge is only 10,000 because of tax implications. Someone did that earlier on a reveal and it didn't make Bryan to happy. They actually get a list of the activity during the day so they would know exactly who pulled that kind of stunt. Not sure what action they could take but they would know who you are.

Thanks for the reply! In that case, I'll probably worry about them later. We'll see.

Keep in mind that the price of those dragons, giants etc will likely double or more when they are released next year. I'm concentrating on getting as many of the extras as possible (who isn't? lol!) now - especially with free shipping (and huge deal for someone living in Canada - S&H can cost nearly as much as the item I'm ordering sometimes!)

Fireforge games will be launching their dwarf faction for their Forgotten World range. I really enjoyed their northmen line which were basically game of thrones not Stark warriors. They had undead in that same Kickstarter.

so these will be heroic 28mm hard plastic multipart figures. This is what’s been shown so far.

There will also be foot troops with spears and hand weapons. And both male and female will be on sprue.

they haven’t confirmed yet, but if it follows with their other Kickstarter, there should be resin shields and resin heroes available too.

I was a little surprised to not see this already here.  I just got a 48 hour notification on a game called "Lurkers of the Deep" - it's apparently an expansion to a miniatures game, but in addition to the game they're also selling a bunch of 20s/30s pulp/cthulhu style minis.  (And a number of buildings, too.)  I'm not interested in the game, but I put down a 30 pound pledge to get a bunch of the figures and get the various free stretch goals figures.

There's only another 46 or so hours left, so I guess that means it ends early on March 1st.

My partner for the Secret Sophie exchange this year was NecroMancer and they requested demons or some other stuff, so I painted the Queen of Hell.  About the same time I had ordered a 3D printer and I had found a base that kind of matched an idea I had in my head.  The printer was going to ship on time, then it wasn't, then it was, and finally came in just in time to print my display base. It is from the celestial pack by Archvillain Games. It's 100mm plus some overhang. For a bit of additional flair I added some blood imps to the base.

One thing about pre-made display bases though is they can be next to impossible to actually use if they are not designed well.  This base is an example of that as there is so much rubble that I had to carve away spaces for feet or build up the area with a bit of milliput to give them something to stand on. Since ancient statues were actually painted I decided to go with that and put a simple face on the bit of statue that remained.

The Queen was actually painted before my printer arrived and because things hadn't gone crazy at work yet, I actually had time to paint her properly.  I went for a stylized NMM on her armor.  It was the first time I had tried NMM this way.  It worked but I need some more practice to really sell it.  I didn't want her to look like some cheap plastic figure (even though she kinda is ) so instead of going red like the blood imps I made her skin mostly human and then put the orange/red/purples in the midtones and shadows.

Her wings don't fit in my tiny photo setup so...

And with wings. They were not attached for shipping and needed a bit of support, so ignore the paint bottle.  Bones are evil.  Mold lines suddenly appear everywhere.  And for better or for worse, a year from now her wings will sink toward the earth, but they should rotate and touch the base.

A few extra pics I took, if anyone wants to look

I have me a bit of a dubious, largely because I'm not certain these will, in fact, work for anybody. But. Still.. the concept is pretty damn cool.

"Tilt Five is a whole new way to play games, in Augmented Reality (AR), with freaking holograms!
When you slip on the Tilt Five glasses and look at the game board, a vibrant 3D world opens up to you.  Suddenly chasms seem to drop infinitely into your table, and game characters and monsters spring up from the game board.  This is gaming unlike anything you've experienced before.
"When we started designing the Tilt Five system our focus wasn't on the technology for technology's sake.  We wanted to provide an amazing gaming experience that blends the things you love about video games and board games. And we wanted it to be just as fun when playing solo, together with your friends, or even when you're apart."  Jeri Ellsworth, Co-Founder & CEO "

Be interesting to see if this lives up to itself.
