I still keep looking up at the KS tally to see if it's going up...
Be glad we got that, Reaper jealously guards it's sales data. Understandable though, that is valuable info..

Well, that bit of data was freely available on both Kickstarter and Kicktraq, but it was still swell of them, and Kit in particular, to provide the widget.

And I still look at it for a new total every time I refresh... ;p

For you painters out there, what are your thoughts on the paint sets? I'm thinking of upping for sets 1 and 2, 3 and 4 don't look like they'd be that useful. I'm not much of a painter and I have no idea how far the paint will go. Unrealistic to think you can paint all of vampire level with the 2 sets?

If you don't have, and don't necessarily want a lot of paint, that's exactly what sets 1and 3 are designed for. Between them you get a nice spread of the basic colours, a couple of metallic paints, and a sealer to help preserve your paint jobs.

If you were going to add one more, it would depend on what you're after. 4 is a wider variety of colours by far. Most of 2 is set up using the Reaper triad system, so you'll find three of the sets of three to be fairly similar to each other. I want 'em, but I will sooner turn down new miniatures than new paint. If you want a few more paints, get 4, order a few extra bottles direct from Reaper, or consider the Heavy Gear paint set.

As for will they be enough to paint all the Bones you'll get... The possible problem you'll have is you're likely to use a few bottles more than others. If you only have one or two skin colours, you could possibly use that up. Ditto if there's a particular colour you use for uniforms or just because you like it. Brown goes on wood, leather, dirt and a few other things, so that's another you could run through if you only have one or two to use. If you use white a lot to mix lighter versions of colours you could end up using more Han you might expect, but it could be enough. If you use it on every figure, the sealer probably won't do them all.

Basically I think the total volume of the paint in he sets might be able to cover the minis, but you won't end up using all the colours equally so you could run out of some while others are half full. Also if you got some of the big dragons and such, those will use a lot more paint.

If you want to try to stretch your paint, here's a few tips. Search for wet palette in the craft section of he forums. You can make a simpe one with paper towel and parchment or baking paper. Dispense paint in small amounts as you need it. Put cfc bulbs in any lamp you paint under, incandescently and other hot bulbs dry paint out quicker. Keep a t pin around to unclog the bottle nozzles. Unclogging by brute force squeezing can lead to paint spurting out everywhere!

I think they're referring to my fan page at http://greg.botch.com/bones/ Mouseover for the best thumbnail I could find/make, and click through to Reaper's site where you can see other views, some painted.

Sorry if this has been answered, I did 4 searches and read though 40+ pages of this thread.

Basically I am keen to see the results of the 5 Design Your Own Miniatures pledges that were made. The process from idea to concept art to miniature.

Will we be kept up to date and if so, short of the entirety of these forums, is there a good place for me to keep an eye out?

Well, I guess that was quite the wild finish. I couldn't be around for the end, so I'm glad I can make some small adjustments in a couple weeks.

Congratulations on such a fantastic and successful project, Reaper folks!

I still checked the KS page last night. I'm an addict it seems....
