17k would be easy to do manually?

[...]

I think that we should trust that the people who have an understanding of the situation and all the details to do the right thing. It's pretty easy to arm chair quarterback/general when you aren't on the spot and with all of the information (including what else they have to do).

17k orders is not that much data. I've pumped through way more data in a couple weeks time in a few different areas: medical research, business accounting, and theater military level operations. I'm not saying its the optimal solution, but it can easily be done. If you are doing a project as a one-off deal then making an application to take into account all possibilities will sometimes take longer than just doing it. Having said all that I'm somewhat interested in how the Pledge Manager will pan out from a technical standpoint.

I have a horrible, horrible feeling that I will end up spending even more than I am already once the RPM is finished.

I've already planned to spend another $100 or so. I'd squeezed out as much as I could from one pay packet so getting to abuse a second one is going to be fun.

I'd bet that most are going to add to their pledge, I know I have to-- I have two or three people that want me to get something for them. From a Dragon to an extra Vampire. Maybe there could be a stretch goal outside of KickStarter. Like the Cavalry at $5,000,000? (1.5 million out to be enough to help with that.) Even if there could not be a rewarded goal, it would be interesting to learn the final total.

When will we get the information to swap Sophie? Thanks in advance.

It will be part of the pledge manager.

17K data, manually entered is a lot of data. From an IT perspective its not a lot but when you are talking about manually entering the kind of data that this is generating you are really taking a lot of risks that you do need to take.

Whether that's their intent or not, it is certainly a reality for me. My vacation is nearly over, and since I'm coming back under-budget from it, I find myself suddenly in the position to be able to swing some more dollars Reaper's way in the RPM when it comes out. I am totally not upset about it either. ;)

Does anyone know if we may add figures with the RPM for the same dollar amounts they were on the original Kickstarter?

I gather that the prices of the actual minis at retail will work out higher than they were offered for on KS (Not just the regular Bones, which is a no-brainer, but that for example the Bones Ebonwraith will cost more than $10). Also that people who missed the KS will have a chance to get some or all of the premiums, but apparently at a higher cost.

But if we pledged on KS and for whatever reason wished to add something later (such as the Cthulhu figure, which was unveiled almost at the last), would we be able to add it for the amount listed on KS? ($10 in the case of the Cthulhu figure)

I was one of the ones who was trying to add some more at the very end of the kickstarter. Thankfully I didn't lose my entire pledge like some, but I will definitely be upping my pledge considerably to cover what I wanted to add in the end. I was off on a vacation and managed to get home just a bit before the end hehe.

Congrats to Reaper on the Kickstarter. Obviously a huge success for Reaper, and drooling over the rewards reminded me "Oh yeah! I remember, I like minis!" and has nudged me to get back into things... Even if the KS itself was disappointing for me. (Came up just a few dollars short for Vampire by the deadline, and then when I tried to throw in for Ghast instead I got caught in the end confusion and ended up with nothing at all ::(:)

But, that wasnt why I started this post. While I was sitting and moping, looking longingly at all the different items and extras, I got to musing over the scale of the big stuff and trying to sort out the relative scales in my head. With so many minis, though, it was hopeless. Then it occurred to me, it was a perfect chance to exercise my photoshop techniques that have been getting rusty and whip up a scale chart for practice (based on the "shown for scale" guy).

So... I thought Id share in case anybody is interested. Theres a long version all in a line, and a square version that fits on screen better (plus a really big version of the long one)

(Also: First post. Hi! ^_^)

This is fantastic! Thanks a ton for this.

(Also, minor nitpick: the names of Ebonwrath and Deathsleet are switched.)
