You don't need inks, you can just run a wash over white primer. From my (only) post in the Ogre community WIP thread:

 

 

White Army Painter primer and a black/brown wash.

lol then put another one on. i do sometimes prime then ink or just start painting and ink the base colors then highlights over top of that

Have you done pre-inking before?

 

No, haven't really done anything previously. Although I have bought a few brushes and some army painter acrylics. I've been putting the stuff together to start, just haven't got around to it yet.

 

Basically, you prime a miniature in white then apply a black ink to get the details. This finds mould you may have missed before priming, as well as helps blackline / add shadow to the recesses.

Horribly sad that I had to miss this deal. Still, I've bought a few of the available Bones, and they're really awesome. I'll buy more, now that there will be a whole plethora of choices, thanks to the Kickstarter.

A deal is still available. You can sign up for what would have cost $100 for $150. Signing up at that level allows you to add other options. This is still probably about 60% cheaper than waiting until they're released into retail.

I think that is my favorite dragon ever. I'm not really a fan of most 'mini' dragons. That one looks so BAMF it should have a purple lightsaber and jerry curl.

With all the addons I got, I can't believe I skipped this one. It just seemed so... expensive at the time, compared to everything else. Idiot.
