Thrilled to see some of these new models, especially Nethy. But it's slowly starting to dawn on me how big a delivery I'm going to be receiving next year, and just how much Her Majesty's customs are going to brutalize me.

Beagle, not sure how customs is working over there, but here in Oz, it is based off the value of what is listed. Reaper earlier stated that the value would be listed at what we paid for things, not the retail costs...so might not get hammered very hard.

Wasn't it even so that the shipment would be listed only as the value of the highest pledge level (so a Vampire pledge + addons

would be listed simply as Vampire at $100)? I could be misremembering here, but that could make quite the difference for people with quadruple Vampire pledges and 15 Nethyrmauls (I wasn't quite that crazy).

Quick question, I haven't been getting emails on Kickstarter updates anymore. I used to, but haven't in awhile the last few reaper updates I saw here and then checked on Kickstarter to read it on the updates tab.

I was wondering if anyone else had this problem recently, I checked my profile on Kickstarter and it still says I should get emails on updates.

Marsya: check your email's junk folder and deleted items.

Your email client may have started classifying it as junk mail and the messages accordingly.

I checked the spam folder have, but will checked deleted in case it is blocked somehow. Thank you.

I would guess that it probably won't make the miniatures any cheaper but it will significantly speed up that delivery step, that currently goes across an ocean on a boat and then through US Customs (which probably takes longer than the boat!).

I'm wondering about production times. I'm assuming that 1 machine will be able to maintain a steady supply of Bones to meet demand during normal times, but what happens after the next Bones kickstarter... Assuming there will be one.

Brian has said that there are 14 such machines at factory in China and that even then it will take 5 months of production to fulfill the demand from the current kickstarter and that it would take years to accomplish that with the single machine they have ordered for their Texas facilities.

Sounds to me like they're going to need more machines before they launch another kickstarter. ;)

If I were to hazard a guess (and just watch me go), I'd expect that the next Bones Kickstarter would be after they had a few months of experience with their injection machine, see the long(ish)-term financial fallout from the first Kickstarter, and had time to plan it out to the precision that they did the first one. They did months of recon with the first, but by their very success, they've changed the landscape so they'd want to do at least some new research on the Kickstarter environment and how it's changed too.

They're not foolish and have repeatedly shown a reluctance to promise anything except their continued attention to customer service. They're not some starry-eyed start-up likely to leap and not worry about the landing part until they start the descent and wonder why it looks so much further away and spikier than they thought it'd be. Whatever happens, they'll be completely up-front about things. If that's something like, "If this Kickstarter reaches X amount, then some of the figures will be made at our old factory in China to prevent long delays in production." then they'd say that. (People would miss it and fuss, but they'd make sure they said it.) If it's, "Because production will be done entirely here in the USA, shipping is going to take over a year." they'd say that. So I'm not concerned one way or another.

I do, however, find it very interesting and exciting to anticipate, though!

One possible way to get around production blockups would be to ship/produce rewards separately. 'Adventurers level rewards' Ship in October, 'Monster level' addons in December, 'Demigods and Dragons' ship in February. All International pledges ship in March by Unicorn Express. This does increase shipping costs, however.

... way too little sleep last night. I'm getting silly.
