Wyrmgear looks fantastic (of course).

 

The real question is: how many gallons of paint did Kaladrax take?

I used about 5 bottles of paint on him in total.

So, unless people used KS paint only, painting the model costs more than the model itself. Just another example of what awesome deal this was!

I realized after seeing the pic of Kaladrax at the show that him, Cthulhu, and Nethyrmaul will require their own individual sets of paint.

 

I also realized I probably should have squirrelled away some funds for an airbrush.

 

 

Edit to add:

 

None of the Big Bones qualify as the largest plastic thing I ever painted with Reaper paints, though. Nor even the largest by handbrush. That dubious honor goes to Revell's re-pop of the old 1/72 Matchbox Flower Class Corvette - a thousand-plus piece monster three feet long . . . and mostly white.

The wings are really shiny paint. I used alclad II chrome over a gloss black base coat to give them a highly polished chrome finish. Thank you all for such awesome compliments! It makes me feel what I do is worthwhile.

How do you shade with things like Alclad?

Hey all,

 

I had a Reaper page up that showed all of the currently running kickstarters that have anything to do with miniatures. I hadn't bookmarked it and my PC crashed and restarted, and I lost the page. I've looked through the Reaper site, done forum searches, tried to google it, and not been able to find t again. I don't remember how I got to it in the first place, probably a link from a discussion somewhere. Does anyone have the link for that, or a way to navigate to it within the Reaper site?
