Did you subtract the $25 for Sophie from the per model price?

If you subtract that, the figures are already a great bargain. $100 less the $25 Sophie = $75 for 88 models = approx $0.86 a model.

However, I've simply been rolling the Sophie in as an additional number, because it's really hard to see the retail value of her, since she won't actually ever be sold at retail.

I'm probably going to sell or trade my Sophie, and I'm only estimating that I'll get $10-15 for her, which is more than enough for me.

Maybe this is just me, but I don't really get all the love for Sophie. Perhaps that's considered blasphemy on these boards?

Can't wait for my current ebay auctions to end. Once those minis sell I'll be all over that Vampire level plus some of the goodies.

Nah. She's been around forever, and we have some avid collectors. So we like to spread the love.

Personally, as mascots go, I prefer Lil' Death over Sophie. At least my wife will let him in the house.

Lil' Death *is* cute. We may have to look into giving him some more time in the spotlight.

At a $1 a mini, it becomes an unbelievably good deal, too. I'm pretty sure once it hits that pint (or looks for sure like it will), I can get several more friends to buy in.

Tell them that if they buy in, we'll almost definitely hit $1 per mini and beyond! Their contribution can only help.

We're also closing in on an average price of $1 per mini at the Vampire level!

Hell, it's a terrific deal NOW, all things considered. The scary thing is that I begin to believe it WILL reach the dollar mini point, at this rate. Kit, are you SURE I'm not pickin' yer pocket, here? I still feel like a shoplifter.

A big reason why Sophie is also popular is that she has been a very Limited Edition piece so getting her has been difficult if you didn't goto ReaperCon (or in more recent years order online during ReaperCon) so for people that like to collect she's got perceived value. Plus she is Reaper's mascot.

Her wings are a seperate piece, so you could easily just have her be a biker chick if people want to avoid the whole succubus angle.

My personal favorite is still the '09 bomber sophie.

Hey, I regard Sophie as a personal milestone. My ex-wife HATED Sophie. My girlfriend, on the other hand, wants me to paint HER a Sophie or three.

I think of this as "progress."

I just checked Kickstarter.

We're going to hit the paint goal around eight o'clock this evening, aren't we?

Sheeee.......

LOL - I'd say that's progress.

The biggest reason I'll part with the KS Sophie will be because I'll probably never get around to painting her, and I'm sure there is someone out there who will want her and didn't get a shot at her. That's how I parted with most of my 2007 Reapercon Sophies - ran across people who wanted her more than I did.

My wife doesn't care one way or another about the nekkid or near nekkid minis. If she did, I'd have lost half my fantasy collection by now. A collection, BTW, that I didn't purchase - my ex-wife had a thing for buying me minis of scantily females all the time. She liked them more than I did.
