I'm dumb. I saw the kickstarter notice at the top of the front page and ignored it until after I bought the miniatures I'd come to buy -- 65111 Frost Giant Warrior, 65100 Frost Giant Warrior, 14599 Frost Giant Jarl, and 03431 Frost Giant Princess -- and then I checked the kickstarter. And discovered I could have picked up the Jarl and Princess for $10 instead of $40. And in plastic, which I have to admit is a lot easier to work with when dealing with really large figures.

Just remember the TIME angle. Vampire level rewards won't show until March 2013.

Just keep telling yourself you're not dumb, you're just impatient, and that you couldn't wait until March to have those giants...

Another question that I can't seem to find the complete answer to:

If I pledge a given amount, when the kickstarter ends will I be able to increase that amount or am I limited to how much I pledged?

Basically, I'm wondering if I can pledge-and-forget at "Vampire" and then check back when it's over to add on my goodies/upgrades, or do I have to follow the kickstarter every day to make sure that everything I want has been completely pledged-for before the kickstarter expires?

Wow, good question!

Generally no, at least not though Kickstarter itself, so you'll want to make sure your totals are correct before it ends.

Some campaigns, however, do create paypal accounts and let backers adjust their totals via that if they need an increase for a short time after the KS ends.

Which I hope Reaper does because my "pledge" is a gift from a friend.

Eilif - what I would recommend doing is to pledge what you'll think you'll be able to spend and want to spend overall regardless of what the award levels are right now. Basically, just assume there will be cool stuff you'll spend on. Then come back a day or two before the KS ends, and adjust your total up or down to reflect what you actually want, based on the new rewards you see there.

You don't have to be obsessive like the rest of us...

It's not obsessive - it's needed! Everyone knows that you have to watch the ticker and concentrate really hard to make it go up.

Either we'll reach a million or I'll have an aneurism!

Must... concentrate... on... more... minis......

These things can explode over the last few hours though, I'm concerned what I might miss out on if I'm at work when the whole thing finishes and the last stretch goals are being unveiled. Maybe I can get that day off... :;):

The last day is on a Saturday.

Unfortunately, that makes it even more likely that I'll be working. Though I guess it'll be Sunday here when it finishes, so then it depends what time... time zones are hard.
