Hey KS took itself down! At least that gives time to cook dinner :)

Still managed to up my pledge for Tre's awesome monsters. The ogre is like bonus loot in that set for me, really wanted the Ettin and the Gnoll Archer though.

Also that "shown for scale" guy is probably accurate to the Gnoll. Sadly this makes it pretty clear that the miniature currently sold as "Ogre Chieftain" is really just an Ogre, because the one in this set is clearly the larger model. (Actually on my screen that "shown for scale" guy is pretty much bang on for a human, and the Gnoll is comparable to my current ones.. gives me a good idea of the comparative sizes.)

Derp?!?

So, once we reach the crypt we should see some drow and driders...

Nobody knows when they'll show up. Well, a few Reaper-Peeps do, but they ain't talkin'. In fact, it's not even a given that they will show up, but it sure looked like a not-drider or two in the video...

Hm, the ogre, ettin and gnoll archer are not as cool as Klocke's offerings but more large miniatures are awesome.

And this is why this project is cool, and another example of how Reaper has done such a great job of it. As Bones, I could care less to see those Klocke figures in the mix. Don't get me wrong, I own all four in metal, and Lysette was one of the figures that got me buying Warlord minis regularly because I loved it so much. However, I think Tre's big guys as equally cool, and an even better fit for the Bones line. So, you liked the last stretch goal better, I liked this one better. There's something for everyone, and it keeps us moving towards the mausoleum. ::):

This!

For me, the disappointment was when the elves were revealed. But I'm still happy to get them, and there have been so many other things added that I'm really happy to see. Something (ok, many somethings) to please durned near everybody...

Not a thing against elves or dark elves, but I very much like the decision to bring some of the BIG boys into plastic, notably Tre Manor's recent trio. Metal mass would make these fellas more expensive than they need to be. Bones isn't going to match the sheer diversity of metal figures Reaper offers anytime soon... consequently, character models, I would think, should kind of go on the back burner, second to making plastics that would be prohibitive in metal. I think the Purple Worm was a prime example, there, and the dragons and giants were right up there with them. And, as always, I hope they sell like nickel beer.
