4. Stretch Goals are... high? When I've been part of other kickstarters, the stretch goals are fairly incremental. This one is almost double the amount. Mind you, it's a sweet freebie but I'm wondering how much thought has gone into the different tiers of add ons versus stretch goals.

Honestly, I was stunned that the goals are so low. If I remember the rumors correctly, I believe that GW pays somewhere in the neighborhood of 18K per mold for each sprue for their injection plastic minis. It's one thing to create molds in vulcanized rubber and a whole new level of production to have molds made in steel. On top of that, add the risk that sales may not outpace the production cost on a particular mini..... Brave indeed. 30K for 30 new minis sounds like a bargain to me. Reaper's venture into the BONES line was a calculated risk that I believe will pay huge dividends, but is still a very large risk. I salute you Reaper. I most certainly will be doing my meager part in the kickstarter. I just wish I was in the position to pledge more. Good Luck! I hope the kickstarter is hugely successful!

I think I'm being misunderstood here. I have no problem with the initial goal. It may indeed be too low. But when looking at multiple kickstarters I've been a part of, it's usually not almost double the initial investment before the stretch goals start comingi n. Mind you on some of the kickstarters the stretch goals are add ons and are not, like Reapers first ones, freebies.

I know that Sedition Wars (CMON's most recent one) had a 20K initial goal and their first stretch goal was then 40K total. Ours is not far from that. It would be hard to give 4 more models to all Vampire pledges for less, though, as each new goal comprises one or more molds.

A few bucks shy of $21,500 as of the writing of this post...not bad for something that's only been running a day.

I only have one problem...Are you guys willing to accept a 'late kick'? I'm down for dropping $238 for Vampire, Urban Legend, and Sophie Harem, but barring some sort of miracle I'm probably not going to have $238 by 8/25. I should be able to do one of the big-ticket pair (Vampire or Harem) by then, extenuating circumstances notwithstanding, but don't think I'll be able to do all of it before the deadline.

I understand that a mechanism for such could be in place by the time it would be relevant, but I am not 100% certain. If you could ask again later, It would help.

Thanks for answering the questions so far! Some great news all around. Kickstarter is already doing great.

In terms of the Bones being produced, one of them looks like Anvall Thricedamned, Evil Warlord which was al imited edition resin figure that was something like "too good for metal." What makes him a candidate for Bones? I also notice that none of the shown figures thus far are larger then say, humanoidish.

Anvall is a good candidate for Bones primarily because of his bulk - he'd be pretty pricey in metal, and we can still release him quite inexpensively in Bones. He's also a good looking figure.

Larger figures are definitely intended - they will be additional Stretch goals along the way. In fact, Giants, Dragons, and Demons will make up nearly half of the stretch goals.

Larger figures present unique problems - and the biggest one is fitting them on our molds efficiently. The mold cost as an aspect has been well covered, but basically if I can pay X per mold for 6+ humanoids, or for 1 Giant, which is the safer initial investment? By doing them as stretch goals, we can make sure that we produce things that get people excited.

I'm really excited for the Kickstarter campaign. I'll be doing my part to spread the word around. I've already been hitting BoardGameGeek with links to the Kick Start page.

Looks like your going to hit the initial funding goal in one day! Congrats!

I really look forward to the stretch goals!

I plan to use my figures for Song of Blades gaming...

I am gonna do Vampire level. Reaper minis account for the vast majority of my collection and i am always excited when you do something new. Plus I really want those giants. They both look awesome and are something i would likely never buy for my self in metal.

My thoughts on bones:

I do not like plastic minis i much prefer to paint metal. Often plastic or resin pieces are every bit as expensive as metals. Bones are there exception to that. They are priced like all minis were priced when i started in this hobby.

So i gave them a shot and my early experiences painting the bones minis have been very positive. I prime everything black but had to give painting them unprimed a go. Loved how well the unprimed Bones took the paint.

My hundred dollars is yours Reaper. Make something awesome with it.

MMmmmmmm.....those giants look nice. Always wanted them, but at the price they were for the metals (and shipping to Australia!) it was a bit beyond my reach. At this pledge cost in the bones, definitely worth every penny!

Congratulations on the funding raised so far. I opted in at the Vampire level yesterday at about the halfway point and bumped it 10 for the $70k strech and added 28 more for the UL Sophie. Now can I justify to the wife an additional 110 for the Sophie Collection.
